Carlos is the Service Manager at INFINITI of South Bay and is also one of our longest employed employees – he has been here for 21 years and 6 months, only two others have been here longer. When we inquired about what he likes most about INFINTI of South Bay, Carlos replies; “It’s the employees and the relationships we have together. We are a close-knit team who works well together here and that also enjoys personal time together. We’ve had softball and paintball teams together, we sometimes go fishing together, and we always love to share a meal.” Married for 16 years, Carlos is blessed with five children and two grandchildren - and this is where he spends most of his time. In the little free time he has, Carlos loves taking a ride on his Harley Davidson to feel the wind in his hair, see the passing sights and to just relax and enjoy.

Start Stop is a latest technology that began to be integrated into recent automobiles about ten years ago. This technology aims to limit the fuel consumption of your Infiniti Q50 and to preserve the environment by limiting CO2 emissions. Its usefulness is mainly important in an urban environment. Indeed, automobiles can be made to spend up to 35% of their time at a standstill during urban journeys. The promise of start and stop on your vehicle is to save you between 5% and 15% in fuel consumption. This is a manufacturer feature of your vehicle that we are unable to disable. I don't have a problem with the Start Stop technology, when it works consistently. As I demonstrated to your Service Rep on a test drive, the Start Stop system did not work consistently. My concern was that a small (but annoying) problem with the system could become a safety issue, starting/stopping at critical times. Quoting me the company line for the system is not helpful. I have sold the car as a result of Infinity's inability to rectify the problem.
