I needed a bigger car. Therefore, I went to Carl Black to see what they had on the lot! Will introduced himself and I told him what I was looking for! I was definitely interested! He picked up the car for me and drove it to the Hiram location from another Carl black location. When I came to look at the car, he was very knowledgeable about the car and explained everything to me. ( I wasn’t used to all the fancy gadgets) He took his time and was very patient! When it was time for the deal! I didn’t feel pressured at all. The deal was smooth and fast! Straight to the point. I was in and out with the car I always wanted and at a great deal! First, it's impossible to tell who's a customer and who works there. Everyone wears normal street clothes and no name tags. The day I purchased the vehicle, after already agreeing to a final sales price works there. Everyone wears normal street clothes and no name tags. The day I purchased the vehicle, after already agreeing to a final sales price the day before, they told me it would take an hour to wrap things up and be on my way. It took 3.5 hours, forcing me to cancel plans to go out of town that day. Then, on the paperwork, they tried to charge me the original sales price instead of the negotiated agreed upon price, so I had to have them change it. After leaving with the vehicle, I found the vehicle's infotainment system had not be reset to the factory, so I had to deal with figuring out how to clear previous users out. The vehicle was not unregistered, so I had to take it to dealer just to get access to the vehicle's app. Then I found out, they sold me a vehicle with 2 open/active recalls that I've had to make multiple appointments at a dealer to correct. These were not issues I would expect to have to deal with after purchasing a $70k vehicle. I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 1 because the salesman I worked with, Moe Leggett, was great. He came in on a day off to finalize the deal, took my calls and answered texts to help with questions even after I left with the vehicle. He was patient and not overbearing. They also gave me a great rate on my financing. I would recommend them, but be sure to do your due diligence on the specific vehicle, as they do not seem to do anything to make sure you leave with a problem free vehicle. Maybe this is normal in the used car world, but it was disappointing and aggravating to have to deal with. More
