Upon my 1st visit to Ferman on Saturday, 8/09, to have my 2024 John Cooper Works mini cooper serviced which included my brake fluid, oil change & air filter done. I asked her if could have a salesperson go over the vehicles features, as my husband purchased the car for me, and I was not with him when he picked up the vehicle. I also stated that I had mini cooper before, but it’s been several years ago, and I would like a refresher. She asked me if we purchased the vehicle from Ferman? I stated no. She kinda frowned and it seemed to be an issue. She told me that she couldn’t get a salesperson to help me but could get a mini genius to assist me. The genius was over in the other building, I told her was walking over that way to look at a car, she gave me his name- Kristian. Courtney told me to look for the receptionist. The receptionist greeted me & pointed Kristian out to me. I walked over, introduced myself, told him what I needed. He gave me his business card, told him to call or text him once my car was ready. I walked back over to maintenance, told Courtney that Kristian & I connected. I sat down, shortly afterwards my vehicle was ready. Kristian was there, we went to my car. We started with ambience lighting. We got to the computer part, and he stated that he wasn’t familiar with vehicles earlier than 2025. He stated that Leah would be a better genius for me, since she has had 3 minis and her current mini was similar to mine. Leah came over. We got into vehicle, she explained the ambience lighting. And when I said and the other features? She was like the other features? I explained to her how I needed to have someone explain the features as I was not with my husband when he purchased the car. She stated that she was just told that she only needed to explain the lighting, not ALL THE FEATURES. She stated great I said I’m sorry. She asked me if we bought the vehicle from Ferman? I stated no. Again another great, and you didn’t even purchase the vehicle from us. Now I know how my Saturday is going. I have a car delivery in an hour. I stated again I’m sorry. Leah explained the features. She left. I left. Driving home to my house, which is an hour away, I called my husband, explained my experience to him. He was livid. Now I remembered why I didn’t purchase another vehicle from Ferman. My husband owns 3 BMW and has never had a bad experience from the BMW of Sarasota dealership. I absolutely love my new mini cooper, however this experience with your dealership has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have been in the customer service industry for over 40 years. If I had ever treated my customers like that, I wouldn’t have a job. More
