Horrible I spoke with Craig Ebel for a week and he told me what I needed to bring when I come to pick up the truck. I live 6 1/2 hours away and I paid my depos I spoke with Craig Ebel for a week and he told me what I needed to bring when I come to pick up the truck. I live 6 1/2 hours away and I paid my deposit to hold it and came with a certified check for the balance to purchase the truck like I was instructed to do. When I got there I found a bad hose that busted when I touched it. They fixed it, I signed the papers and then all of a sudden my money was not good. I was told my check was fake and they would have to contact the bank to verify it on Monday. I called the president of the bank and he spoke with them and told them that the check was valid and I had been going everywhere buying more expensive 18 wheelers with the same checks and I've never had this problem. Then I was told they need to run a credit check, finance with them. and pay the taxes. Why in the world would you need to run a credit check on a person that came with cash? Why would I pay taxes there when I have to pay the taxes in the state of Mississippi when I get my tags? I see now that the great state of Buford, GA and the Jim Ellis car dealership don't think my money is good enough for them. They held the truck there until Monday and wanted me to come back 6 1/2 hours to pick it up, when they could have let me leave Saturday with it. I explained to them then that I run a business and I'm not coming back up there to get a truck, they need to ship it to me. Needless to say I have to meet them in Birmingham, AL to pick it up and had to pay $300. But the kicker is that they kept all of my money and the truck and expected me to trust them with my $11,000. Then when Monday come they call me with some more bull about get the funds transferred when they have the check, the bank has spoken with them, and the check IS and WAS valid in the first place. I finally get a call from Craig to say they are going to get me the truck and where do I want to meet in Birmingham. He apologized for the inconvenience. I've never dealt with something like this before in all of my years of purchasing vehicles and 18 wheelers, but all of a sudden I want to bring a fake certified check to purchase a Navigator. Come on this just don't sound right and really don't sit well with me. Now I'm inconvenienced again today to drive out of my way to pick up a truck that could have come home with me Saturday. It's not really the salesperson's fault. I had no problems with him, it was finance and the other people over him that made this way worse than it had to be. 7-3-18 UPDATE Come to find out my sales person Craig Ebel lied to me through his teeth. He said the transport was coming Monday to bring it to Birmingham. I last spoke with him around 3 and he said it was going to be Tuesday because it was too late Monday. He gave me the number of the person that was transporting the vehicle. I went to Birmingham Tuesday and I called him and the transport and could not get an answer. I left two messages and sent him an email at 10:22 am letting him know I've been waiting for over an hour and I can't reach no one. I finally spoke with the transport and he said he told Craig he would not be able to get the truck and he was under the impression that I lived in Birmingham. He said he told him he would work me in but he wouldn't be able to do it until the next week. It was the holiday and all of his trucks were coming in and not going out so there was no way he would have ever been able to bring it Monday or Tuesday. By now I've been sitting in Birmingham for 4 hours. Then at 11:30 I get an email back from Craig saying this "Hey Mike,I had a client here this morning picking up his NEW Yukon XL. The delivery of these vehicles with the WIFI hotspot, OnStar, Bluetooth and Apple Car Play takes me awhile. I just heard your messages and saw your email. I just spoke with Mr. Culver and he said he spoke with you a little while ago this morning. Let me know what else I can do to help". So as I stated before my money wasn't good enough, then he sends me this email to minimize my purchase like he had bigger fish to fry. I had to go there and pick up my truck and he was gone. Now I have to wait for my money back that I had to pay to have it sent to Alabama. Beware of this dealership because if you look a certain way you are a thief and you get the worst service you've ever had in your life. Then you get calls telling you to change your review. I will not change it because it happened. If you don't like the review then you should have given better service. But I'm sure the person that bought the NEW Yukon got red carpet service. The only good thing about this place was the price of the vehicle. I let them know when I picked up the truck that I will NEVER be a repeat customer, but I'm pretty sure they could care less. So I missed 2 days of work because of Craig Ebel lying and Jim Ellis backing up the lies. More
