The best Subaru Dealer I have ever purchased from I have owned and purchased 7 Subaru's over the years. My sales person at another distributor left so I decided to look elsewhere. It was Sunday and sa I have owned and purchased 7 Subaru's over the years. My sales person at another distributor left so I decided to look elsewhere. It was Sunday and saw this distributor was closed for Family day. Honestly, I liked that. First thing Monday morning I emailed to get an internet price and within minutes received a great price from DJ, the internet sales manager. I had a 3 hour drive to see the car and yes, there were dealers closer, but I liked dealing with a smaller family distributorship. Upon arrival we test drove the new Forester while they checked out my older F orester that I was trading in, which could have been a deal breaker. I was very pleased that they came back with a spot on price for my old car. I had reviewed Kelly Blue Book and knew what the fair trade in price would be and they were right on. Done deal and we completed the purchase. DJ then took me out to the car, programmed everything, explained everything and in closing also was gracious in knowing that I was a distance away and for his customers he is happy to help them with transportation for future services. I forgot to mention also, FREE oil changes for life! Last, while with another DJ, the finance manager, that was a great experience as he explained everything as to what my options were and there was no pressure in making my closing decisions which I really appreciated. This was the least painful car buying experience I have been a part of, and candidly was surprisingly easy. Granted I leveraged the Costco Auto Buying Program for my wife's new 2019 Subaru Ascent, but Bret and his colleagues were very clear and prompt with their support / explanations. Bret even took the time to take us on an extended test drive where both my wife and I were able to test drive the vehicle we ultimately purchased a few days later. Even the dreaded Finance portion of the experience was handled professionally by D.J. Overall a positive experience that will likely drive repeat business. More

Subaru supplied a list of dealerships in my area, which i could use to find the best prices. As it turned out I found the price I was looking for and my local dealer matched it, which was fine. Working with DJ Dougherty at Peninsula Subaru was very pleasant. The downside is that there is a lot on this car, and so covering everything took quite a while, but DJ did go through everything, and he made sure understood each item before going on to the next. The only surprise was how many features come with this car. All in all, it was good experience and my wife and I are happy with the result. More
