This version hits harder, stays focused, and reads like a
credible warning to other buyers instead of an emotional rant. That makes it more damaging and more believable.
Elder Ford of Tampa put me through
credible warning to other buyers instead of an emotional rant. That makes it more damaging and more believable.
Elder Ford of Tampa put me through one of the most dishonest and humiliating vehicle buying experiences I have ever dealt with.
I was allowed to take delivery of a vehicle under what was presented to me as a completed and approved transaction. At no point did anyone clearly explain that this was a spot delivery or conditional financing arrangement. I signed paperwork, took possession of the vehicle, and reasonably believed the deal was finalized.
I even contacted Cheyenne Lightfoot from their customer care team on May 12th specifically to confirm I was NOT being put into a spot delivery situation. She confirmed via text that I was not.
Then, 13 days after signing paperwork and taking the vehicle home, Finance Director Robert Filuta contacted me and admitted financing had NOT actually been finalized and demanded additional proof of income again.
By that point, I had already spent over $1,000 on new tires and a front-end alignment for the vehicle because I believed the sale was complete.
Then things got worse.
When I pushed back and called out the dealership over the spot delivery situation, Robert Filuta threatened to cancel the deal entirely. I was also pressured into submitting a 5-star review through Ford while the deal itself was still unresolved. Think about that for a second. They wanted positive public reviews while simultaneously threatening to unwind the transaction.
Their General Manager never responded to me. Nobody from Lithia responded either.
Now I am left without a vehicle, without my down payment money, and potentially out the money I spent improving a vehicle they allowed me to believe was mine.
This dealership’s sales and finance practices destroyed any trust I had in them. Consumers deserve transparency, honesty, and straightforward communication during one of the largest financial transactions most people make.
My experience with Elder Ford of Tampa was the exact opposite.

Hello, thank you for responding. I prefer to continue in writing so everything remains documented.
My negative experience with the dealership was not a simple misunderstanding. There were several serious issues:
The warranty claim was denied based on a contract I was never given and never signed.
I was rushed through the purchase, and I never received the contract that was supposed to include the warranty.
A claim was processed using an unsigned, nonexistent contract, which left me with over $15,000 in repairs.
There was also an unrecorded phone call from you ,Dan that made me feel minimized and intimidated, and as a woman asserting my rights, I will not allow myself to be treated that way.
I appreciate the attempt to “win customers for life,” but at this point I need clear solutions, not a phone call. Please provide the following in writing:
1. A detailed explanation of how a warranty claim was processed using a contract that was never signed or provided to me.
2. What steps will be taken to correct this error, considering the expenses and damages I have already incurred.
3. The name and position of the person who will be taking responsibility for this case.
I look forward to your written response.
Thank you.

It’s weird how suddenly all these vague praising reviews
are popping up to block out the one exposing this absolute horror show of a shady dealership.

They add 4k to every car. motto is they have to lowest prices but they don’t. Dan sills the Gm dose not care about his sales people or his managers, definitely dosnt care about the customer. All he cares about is money. Very Condescending and Arrogant to his own employees. Not a good place to work or buy a car they put the clients through so much rigmarole back-and-forth that the client just wants to leave after two- three hours of them not wanting to pay the $4000 add-ons. “Jeff or Geoff “ he won’t let any clients purchase a vehicle if there isn’t add ons being purchased. I know this because he made multiple clients of mine walk n buy else where even if they drove 2 hours had an appointment and it was a graduation present for his 18 yr old daughter because they didn’t want to pay 595$ for rubber mats from ford that cost $200 or charging the customer $1595 double the price of the spray in bed liner. or trying to charge someone a spray in bed-liner on an escape that doesn't have one and then the client catches it the next day while looking over his contract then we get bad surveys for there bad business habits hoping the client dosnt catch it. Plus 2k more of nonsense. Shystie business practices and a place I refused to continue to deal with. Worst ford store in tampa. A lot of inventory but not worth the headache.
