We wanted to purchase "map updates" for navigation but we had questions- we wanted to know if we purchase the 2 yr subscription what happens after the 1st year. Do we have to get a new usb or code, and how to go about it? No one could answer how the computer would know we could get the updates. It became likely that the usb would contain an end date, and for the duration of the two years, we will be able to update our maps. Even the similar process of updating BMW assist was not suggested to us by BMW Assist folks. During our stay at BMW we had asked this of our Advisor, the Genius on the floor, and the parts person. Also during our stay we called BMW Assist, and the BMW 24/7 Genius. Since the Genius on premise helped us update BMW Assist on our nav system, this became the basis for our understanding of the new Maps update assumptions. Documentation could be clearer in the Nav book and online. The Service Center would benefit. More

Immediate Help I really needed help right away for my mistake of putting washer fluid in the coolant. . I needed to know what to do, whether I should drive it or not. After I finally got through to my service advisor and that is my only complaint. With this new BDC at the dealership, you can’t get through to your service advisor unless you have their cell phone. The operator who answered the main line was rude when I told her I did not have the cell phone of my advisor. She said is he expecting your call. I tried to tell her this was an emergency with the car. She said she would give him a message to call but would not connect me. I found out later that no message was given. I was able to find his email address and sent him an email. When you cannot get ahold of your advisor in a timely manner and the rudeness of the switchboard is a real turn off to your customers. Both my service advisor and the service manager did contact me and told me not to drive it but have BMW tow it in and both of them took care of everything. Thank goodness. But it could have been very serious if I hadn’t been able to finally get with them due to your BDC. You really should come up with a better solution because this was a real turn off to me and could have been a disaster in the making. My service advisor Derek and your Service Manager Greg Jones saved the day and my car but I am very unhappy with the BDC. More

AC issues We showed up for our appointment, was made to feel at home. Derek was helpful and gave me the info I needed. I left and they called me a couple hours later with the fix. The car was very clean and looked good when I picked it up. Overall Great service. P.S. The back seat floor board had a couple dollars left out on the carpet. These were obviously found by the car wash crew, as minimal as it is, it says a lot that they were left there and not taken. I will always be a customer of this dealership. More

Saturday Service I needed to have my car serviced and Saturday seemed a perfect day for it. I arrived at 8:15 and was done at 2:15. Most of the time was the replacem I needed to have my car serviced and Saturday seemed a perfect day for it. I arrived at 8:15 and was done at 2:15. Most of the time was the replacement of the windshield sprayer assembly and new tires. A loner car was offered and accepted which allowed us to go to lunch and look around the Sarasota area. The loner was a Dodge which made me appreciate even more why I love my BMW. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful and friendly and to Derek Thomas our service adviser. Job well done. More
