I had been on the allocation list for a base Cayman several months with only moderate movement up the list. However, when the dealership got in a new 2023 base Cayman that was close to what my "build order" was going to be, Duffy immediately thought of me and contacted me. I like the free M&Ms This was my first purchase from Porsche so I guess I was expecting a little more personalized attention - the whole purchase was quick which was a blessing but if you're asking if I felt special I did not. It was like buying a particularly expensive vacuum cleaner. The negotiation felt cold - in a word. I guess mercifully it wasn't pushy or outright dirty but my experience with other luxury car brands was much more personalized. The follow up here seemed perfunctory and more - "hey my software asked me to email you." I don't know.. it was fine I guess... More
