Huh, really? Moving on. After I purchased my Jeep Wrangler, I went home and immediately took off the top. I discovered a faulty zipper on one of the windows. It still worked if you were careful with it, but would certainly break completely within a year. I called and spoke with Dusty Hayes who said he wouldn't replace it because the zipper still worked. I said fine, then will you replace it when it breaks within a year. He said no. Finally, he reluctantly agreed to send photos of the faulty zipper to the Jeep company. I made a trip to the dealership for photos to be taken. Jeep agreed to replace it. So another trip to the dealership to have the top installed. It never should have been this difficult. About a week later, I was driving with some coworkers with me and the steering messed up and wouldn't drive straight. I nearly wrecked due to the sudden change. Yet another drive (very slowly) to the dealership to have it looked at. I was told that the ball joint wasn't installed correctly. Again, about a week later, I tried to remove the spare tire and realized it (along with most of the other wheels) had been put on too tight and couldn't be removed with the supplied lug wrench. Had to drive to the dealership once again. Mechanic admitted that it was put on with too much torque from a pneumatic drill. I called Dusty again and discussed how annoying my experience had been along with the wasted time and gas and asked if he could make it up to me by selling me some Jeep accessories at a discount. He asked me to send him a list, which I did. My list showed some basic pricing (mostly from Amazon) just so he understood the pricing I’m trying to beat. He said that even though they consider themselves to be the largest Jeep parts/accessories reseller in the region, he can’t beat those prices. I find that very strange, but ok. Discussion over and no other offer made to make up for my troubles. Then, out of the blue, I received a phone call asking for a positive testimonial for the Haye's dealership. I said I won't. I later received a phone call from Stephen Weatherly. After I explained my story, he asked to send him my list of parts so he could look at it, which I did. I never got a response, even after emailing him again over a month later. Still no response. Eventually, I kept calling until I could reach him. All he said was that he can't beat my online prices and there's nothing more he can do. Still, no other offer made to make up for my troubles. Do you think I (or anyone in my circle of influence) will ever do business again with Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Lawrenceville, GA? More

Should have done more digging. I bought a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T last week. It was marketed as a certified used vehicle, and we will get to that later. First, I have pretty im I bought a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T last week. It was marketed as a certified used vehicle, and we will get to that later. First, I have pretty impeccable credit, and they initially went through their bank(s) it came back with something close to a 26% interest on a 72 month note.... I would hate to see what bad credit buyers get. So naturally, I went with my bank that I wanted to go with initially, Navy Federal. They basically told me, “Here”s 30k, use what you need or all of it, doesn’t matter, 3.7% interest.” So I had test drove and seen this car for about two weeks, however in the timeframe I had after work only sales was open. So I had to drive on a Saturday, from East side of Athens to Lawrenceville, and ended up with a basic $7 car wash, no vacuum, no air freshener, nothing remotely close to a detail. Time and Money wasted. A few days later my CEL comes on. It’s the notorious P0741 code, that is basically guaranteed for these cars with original transmissions. It ultimately means a new transmission. I contacted my local dealer and while it is technically under warranty, it is not registered as a Certified Used Vehicle in the system. My fault lies in not getting a paper stating it was, and when trying to get in touch with sales and finance, I was hung up on over 14 times and when I called back they said we must have lost connection.....we were both on landlines... Have documents of everything you are buying. Because of this I will never do business with Hayes again, unless there is a gross compensation that makes up for my time and money and even then I’ll be leary, certainly not the type of Dealership that Mike and his family have ran since... well, decades really. I expected more. I trusted the name. More
