I don't plan to go anywhere else. I've looked at other shops; there just isn't any reason to take it anywhere else. Maybe it doesn't make all that much sense to take a twelve-year-old car to the dealership, especially as dealerships tend to be a little more expensive than independent shops; but I believe they're the reason my car is running well after eleven years. I grew to trust Colonial when they were able to fix a recurring problem on my previous car that two other dealerships hadn't been able to resolve. Colonial's service department is excellent by any measure - dealership or independent shop. Scheduling is very easy, and they almost always take you at a time that's convenient for you. Their technicians are efficient and do exemplary work; I've never had to take the car back to them to fix something they didn't do right the first time. The service department - reps and technicians - is very good at explaining what work the car needs and, if completing the repair immediately isn't possible, they're willing to work around your situation to remedy an issue before it becomes a problem. They don't always give you good news, of course, but they're honest and forthright. My current service rep, Jon Lacey, has been not only instrumental in keeping my car running smoothly but also very helpful in working with me to prioritize the car's service and repair needs as it ages (it now has nearly 250,000 miles and is going strong); he's very knowledgeable and discussing these things is actually kinda fun. (Note that this is the same as my review on Google Maps; my opinion hasn't changed since I wrote that review - everything's still going well - so I don't see any reason to say anything different.) Always friendly and professional, Colonial VW in Westborough has been most accommodating for my Ringo's 40k service. I can't drop off and pick-up later in the day (as I would be able to do at a dealer that is closer to me.) I love the staff at Colonial but in future I will really need to think through the location for the sake of convenience. More

I recently had a “Dealer induced service glitch” resulting from a fluid change service. This resulted in a breakdown 90 miles from home.
