Toyota. Nowhere else. That's all I ever wanted to work for. I have joked that I bleed Toyota emblems. My Dad, Uncle and Aunt all worked for Toyota when I was growing up. We were early adopters of the product here in Central Illinois. I think our 1989 Corolla was the first Toyota in Fairbury IL. I started at Fort's as a Salesman on April Fools Day 1996. Hopefully I haven't been the fool! It is an easy way for me to remember the date. I had never sold a car or worked at a dealer before, but impressed the sales manager with my product knowledge. Later, as my Wife and I started a family. I needed a kid friendly schedule and moved to the service department. This has been an opportunity to meet thousands of Toyota lovers! I can talk Toyota all day with you folks! I espouse to my staff to treat everyone like they are working on their family members car. We don't sell "snake-oil" products or over-recommend work on cars. We do our best everyday and I hope it shows.

I have taken my van there for all the service so far, and it has over 85,000 miles. The staff there always treats me respectfully. I am a woman, and I have a mechanical engineering degree and used to be a Powertrain design engineer for Caterpillar for many years. So I know when they are trying to bluff me to get extra costs. They have never done that! Unlike many other dealers; and I greatly appreciate it. The waiting area, especially the one for small children, is a HUGE plus for my family. My kids are actually excited to come along & get the oil changed. And disappointed when it's ready! That makes the trip easier on all of us. All of the service they have ever done for us has been very professional and will keep us coming back. More

I took my Highlander Hybrid in for a 90,000 mile service. An unexpected problem turned up during the servicing. Not only was the problem solved but Fort's Toyota saved me money. When my 2006 Highlander Hybrid wouldn't start unexpectedly, Eric was able to diagnose the possible reason over the phone. He was right and I was able to get it started with a jump. That probably sounds too simple but hybrid battery systems are a little more complex that usual. Cody ordered a new battery and Chad & the service department got it installed quickly. What I appreciated most was the respectful way I was treated - no condescension or attitude about not being able to change the battery myself. Sadly, that's not the case at every dealership. My husband and I used to be GM-only car buyers, until we were burned by them five years ago. We felt good about the deal Fort's gave us on this Highlander, and have been exceptionally pleased by them ever since. Our salesman Nick Armstrong (he's no longer there, unfortunately)was very knowledgeable, professional and honest. We were honest with the sales mgr Ben Weaver about the problems with our trade-in, but he made us a deal that was more than fair. We gladly return to Forts's for regular maintenance and have found their service dept. to be second to none. Love the service facility, too! More
