Arrived mid way in our trip from Charleston SC to Cashiers NC as warning light came on to check engine. It then began to flash so detoured to nearest Lexus Dealer, Hudson in Columbia. Eric Due was ou Cashiers NC as warning light came on to check engine. It then began to flash so detoured to nearest Lexus Dealer, Hudson in Columbia. Eric Due was our service writer. He convinced us to do our 50k mile service while they searched for the problem, & assured us we’d be back on the road in 2 hours or less. It ended up taking 3 & 1/2 hours & the problem was a loose gas cap. I learned at the end they knew it was the gas cap quickly. First Eric knew we were traveling, my & I plus our dog. They could have gotten us back on the road in a few minutes, they charged us $684.00 for the whole process significantly more than the 50k mile maintenance cost us at our regular dealer. The last time I had a problem while traveling, several years ago, we stopped at Nally Lexus in Atlanta who had us in & out in 30 minutes would not charge us, said it was the Lexus way to treat their customers. Finally I had to track down Eric to retrieve my car so we could get back on the road only to find my car just sitting in the service bay with no one around. Finally found another Service writer to find Eric & retrieve my car. More

Erik Due and Danny Chupek were outstanding, but it took 20 min for anyone to come help me when i drove up to service. Certainly your "service consultants" could take 5 minutes away from their work and sig 20 min for anyone to come help me when i drove up to service. Certainly your "service consultants" could take 5 minutes away from their work and sign me in. Isn't that their job instead of sitting around in their offices or strolling around the dealership? Also when i was told my car was ready, an app came up for me to pay and i tried to. It took time and it never worked. Later Danny told me it wasn't for those who visited the dealership. This visit was a sad surprise for Jim Hudson Lexus. I will have my car picked up from now on. More
