BUYER BEWARE ! I was looking to purchase a used Porsche. The used car sales manager, Q told me he had a model of Porsche I was looking for and quoted a price. I was looking to purchase a used Porsche. The used car sales manager, Q told me he had a model of Porsche I was looking for and quoted a price. I was contacted when the car was at North Olmstead. I went to see the car it had not yet been cleaned and prepped. I was told at that time they would need to do a few things, and inspect the vehicle. When the work was completed, I returned to dealership to do a final inspection and at that time made an initial offer. I was met by sales manager Frank Steffen, as Q was unavailable, I was then informed that price of the vehicle was now considerably more! About a 10-12% increase in the sale price. Mr Steffen, presented himself as an arrogant and somewhat deceptive individual who was somewhat evasive when questioned. When I stated that price was considerably more than I was lead to believe. I was informed that they had to do considerably more work on the car. I then asked to see the work order to see what work was done. I was told by Mr Steffen that the information was not available to me. A copy of the work order was sent to me several days later. The "additional" work that was done included a $400 oil change, $125 charge to replace two wiper blades, $1000 to replace 2 tires.(which had already been discussed with me in my initial discussions with Q.), and $1000 to have the car wash and polished along with the removal of PPF from the front bumper (and if at the invoice for the detailing was correct and honest, the dealership is getting ripped off). Not only did the dealer ship not honor the original sales price but looked to find what ever work that could be done to raise the price with exorbitant charges. I find these types of business practices deceptive and not an organization with which I choose not patronize. Fortunately, I found similar Porsche 987 in pristine condition, impeccably detailed, and with considerably less milage for a substantially better price. I will NOT consider Porsche North Olmsted for any servicing my Porsche will need in the future. On a positive note working with Maggie and Chante was a pleasure and a very positive experience. More
