Even though it was the end of the month and the dealership was busy, test drive to purchase moved along quickly. Don't trust the sales team at Des Moines Audi....I had been dealing with George Meza for about 5 weeks with plans to order an RS6 Avant. When the day came where I could finally place the special order, I been dealing with George Meza for about 5 weeks with plans to order an RS6 Avant. When the day came where I could finally place the special order, I made the hour drive to the dealership. The agreement that we had was that I would pay full MSRP for the car to get one of the two desirable spots that were allotted the dealership. I did ask them to value my current vehicle for a trade...which they offered bottom KBB trade value on a CSR that I had agreed to pay full price for. Pretty unfair but hey...they are car salesmen, what would I expect? I politely declined their sad offer. After we filled out the paperwork for my options, George went and met with the sales manager and they conferred for a while...on what I'm not sure since I had agreed to pay full price. When he returned with the numbers I assured him that his math was wrong...only to find out they they had added a $10,000 dealer markup! In the previous weeks this was never mentioned...actually in an earlier phone call, George told me that I was lucky not to get charged a premium because if the rarity of the car. It was hilarious how he looked so shocked when I told him there was no way I was going to pay a $10k mark up....get a grip man. Greed seems to run the gamut at this dealership...you can't trust them on trades or even a cash deal. No thanks to any future dealings with them. More
