Classic bait and switch … told Julie I had received a $100 gift card and needed an oil change. She quoted me $120 plus tax less $100 gift card would be a $20 balance. When I went to pay the bill after $100 gift card and needed an oil change. She quoted me $120 plus tax less $100 gift card would be a $20 balance. When I went to pay the bill after the service was delivered, Julie told me she had to charge me full price of $147.. I objected and she ignored my protestation. I could care less about the $27 overcharge but it is the principle. Previously, as I was awaiting the service I inquired about buying a new BMW X5. Consequently, after I was overcharged, I informed Julie, the other service people (one woman was extremely understanding and provided me with a free car wash coupon), and then the sales representatives that I would NEVER purchase a car from Herb Chambers again. Note I have up to this point purchased 3 vehicles from Herb Chambers. I hope Herb Chambers felt it was worth it - $27 overcharge just cost them a $80,000 sale! More
