The consummate professional I recently was in the market for a new vehicle. Having previously owned a Honda, purchased at another dealership, I settled on a new 2018 Honda CRV. I I recently was in the market for a new vehicle. Having previously owned a Honda, purchased at another dealership, I settled on a new 2018 Honda CRV. I opted to use a “no-haggle”method via Edmunds and USAA. I received responses from 3 Honda dealers on Long Island. The prices were all extremely close to one another, as the CRV is a high demand vehicle. After reading reviews online, I chose North Shore Honda. From the minute I walked into the dealership, I was treated professionally and respectfully. I was met by Jack Walsh, who handled the sale on behalf of North Shore. Very professional and easy to speak with, Jack took me through the process painlessly and effortlessly. There was no hard sell, no pressure and no attempts at upselling me things I didn’t want or need. We did go through the options available, but again, no hard sell and I purchased the auto I wanted. Also extremely helpful was Eddie Haas, who handed the financing aspect and all other arrangements necessary to complete the same. Eddie was very helpful in insuring I got the best loan terms available and helped arrange said loan through my own credit union. The process was made very simple. Overall, a fantastic experience with North Shore Honda. More

Very Deceptive I went to this dealership based on a few recommendations of co-workers. My wife called on 02/10/17 and spoke to Corey on the phone who said that he was a sales manager. We had gotten a good price on a 2016 Odyssey at another dealer, but my wife was looking for a different color which that dealership did not have and claimed they could not trade for because it was a 2016 model. Corey said that they had the color in stock in a "satellite lot." She was told that they would definitely match the deal that we received from the other dealership if we came in. My wife had work that night so she informed Corey that I would be coming in when I get out of work the following morning at 9 am to put a deposit on the car. She verified again that they would match the deal we received and also told Corey that we do not live close and do not want to waste our time. To us it wasn't a big deal if they couldn't do the deal, we were willing to call around and find the correct color. He assured her again that he would match the deal. He made us an appointment with Jack Walsh, who was the salesman that my co-workers had dealt with. I can not say enough nice things about Jack. He was great and I am sorry that I even have to put his name in such a negative review. After travelling all the way to this dealership, I was told that not only did they not have this vehicle in stock (Manager claimed he had a good relationship with another dealer and could get it) but that they would not match the deal because the other dealership must have been lying to me because the price was too good to be true, and I went completely out of my way for nothing. We also told Corey that our current Nissan is leased through Hann Financial, and he even told my wife that they went out of business. He told her to have me bring the vehicle in in order to assess if there would be any additional wear and tear so that way the whole deal would be transparent. When I arrived Corey claimed to Jack that he didn't know that we had a Nissan and was under the impression that we had a Honda (Completely untrue) They used a tactic to get me into the dealership to try and sell me the vehicle in a different color at a higher price, thinking that I would just cave in. This was not the case and it did nothing but waste my time as well as Jack's time. Shame on these deceptive practices, and I hope that Corey is happy that this dealership went from being a recommended one to one that I will make sure people know is a scam. I know that the car industry has a bad reputation, and this dealer just proved that shady places still exist. More
