I started by reading as much as possible on reviews of the vehicles I was interested in such as Toyota Rav-4, Ford Escape, Subarus - Crosstrek and Forester, Honda CR-V, and even MiniCooper Countryman. I had not given much thought to the Mazda due to my experience with the CX-7 last year. I was not impressed with that vehicle. I had decided to stop by the Nissan Dealer and see if the Rogue could pull up to 1500 pounds and also check the Murano. I felt that both could not work according to what I was seeking: Reliable, stylish, AWD or 4X4, good MPG, and able to pull a Jet Ski. As I was about to leave the dealer and return to Subaru, Stever Wray, was introduced to me, and asked me if I had checked out Mazdas? He said he liked a good challenge and they had a new vehicle that might meet my needs right next door.The CX-5!!! I decided to take a look after he told me a little about this new model and changes for 2014. I had been looking at the new Forster as well and it soon became a contest between these two vehicles and dealers. Steve introduced me to Jaik Willmon, and together they shared the qualities of the CX-5, never once putting down the Subarus. Actually I had a similar experience at the Subaru dealier with much respect for the Mazda. Each shared the advantages of their vehicle and support of the dealer. Steve was easy to talk to and I felt comfortable discussing finance options. price, and dealer support. Jaik was very knowledgible about the CX-5 taking me for a test drive and explaining to me performance and other features of the car. He did a good job of following through to assist me with whatever question I had about the car, service, and dealer support, and even helped me purchase the first accessories that I added to the car. He even helped me install the cargo liner. He has also made himself available to answer questions at any time, such as the phone and music features. I felt a connection to both Steve and Jaik and well as welcomed by other support at the dealer. Steve and Jaik introduced me to other at the dealership and they all seemed friendly and generally welcoming. I made my decision to buy this Mazda, based and many factors including: Reviews, price, performance on the drive, style, unique features, and the support experienced from the staff and dealership. It is also nice to receive the extended powertrain warranty and addtional discounts and extras given by the dealer. This shows and extra effort not just to attract a buyer, but to keep them, and keep them happy too. I would highly recommend this dealer and the staff that I worked with....infact I have already passed on the good job that was done to my neighbors and friends!! More

I hate the process of buying a new car. I dread it like the plague!. I have driven a Mazda since the early 1990's, so I was pretty sure I was going to get another one. Just in case, I drove cars from other dealerships, including luxury cars. I also investigated the Mazda3 and Mazda6 online. After spending a week driving other cars, I stopped in at Mazda of Elk Grove, and there was Jaik waiting for me. Although he is very young, he answered all my questions with the knowledge of a pro. He was friendly, knowlegable, and willing to do what it took to get my business. I have to say, this was the best experience buying a car I have ever had. Even when I got cranky from not eating, Jaik kept his cool. I will definately be back. I also asked for several of his cards as my daughter and sister will be in the market soon for a new car. Steve took care of the back end. He was not high pressure, and made the transaction as smooth as possible. Jessie called to schedule a time to get my windows tented. She was so delightful. After searching many dealerships we ended up purchasing our 2014 Mazda 6 from Mazda of Elk Grove. Jaik, Garrett and Grant were Great. We had a wonderful experience and the process was simple and quick. We had a 2000 Cadillac that was paid for but was getting tired. We are retired, on a budget and expressed that to the sales staff. We had been to 6 other dealerships shopping and as we arrived at Mazda of Elk Grove, we were greeted by Jaik Willmon. Never having owned a Mazda before, we had many questions. These were all answered very efficiently by Jaik. Being relatively new at the dealership, Jaik looked to Garrett Oxnaes for guidance regarding some of the process. Garrett was informative and eager to provide direction/assistance. Meeting our shopping list of Options on the vehicle and staying within our budget was no easy task as we discovered at the other dealerships we had visited. I am happy to say that this past weekend we bought our first vehicle from Mazda of Elk Grove. We believe our purchase was for a quality vehicle at a great price. Neither Jaik nor Garrett were ever pushy, always mindful of our budget, and our vehicle needs. Grant Salge was equally helpful, patient and thorough in his explanations as we finalized the purchase. We are so pleased with our experience with the staff at Mazda of Elk Grove. Hiring Caring, Knowledgeable Staff appears to be a top priority at Mazda of Elk Grove. Our Thanks to all the staff. More
