Brought my car in for a recall and an oil change (forgot that my new Prius only came with 2yrs/25K included maintenance. My car has 35K miles). Had to deal with the expensive oil change. Then they tell me my 2024 Prius Prime needs front brakes (pads and rotors) at 35K miles. This is my 3rd Prius (drove the first 2 over 400K miles combined), and I've never needed brakes so soon. They tell me this is the new normal now. Every time I bring my vehicle in, I brace for all the things they will tell me should be done. I bring my Chevy Silverado to the (Chevy dealer) for all service. The truck is over 150K (only replaced brakes 1.5 times so far). I never feel I'm being taken advantage of there. I trust them completely. Every time I bring my Toyota in for service it's a money grab. My brakes may need to be replaced (I'm not calling them liars), but I will bring my vehicle to someone I trust. More
