I inquired about a specific interest rate twice via WhatsApp. A high-level sales representative (a real person, not a bot) assured me that “if everything checked out, it wouldn’t be an issue.” To make absolutely sure we were on the same page, I asked a second time and received the exact same response: “I don’t see any issue with that rate.” Because I have an excellent credit score and felt confident in their explicit assurance, I drove over. When I arrived at the dealership just 30 minutes later, they completely changed their tune and informed me it was impossible to offer that rate because Honda didn’t even have it active. While they might try to argue it wasn't technically a "lie" because of how they phrased it, it was an intentional deception to lure a buyer in. It is deeply misleading and completely undermines trust. I have decided to take my business elsewhere and will always prefer to engage with companies that prioritize transparency and honesty from the very first text. More

Also…no car manual….my sales person said mayb you can order one from Amazon? Just found out I have locking lug nuts…..but I have not been given a key to unlock them! Lastly…I have been given no communication regarding my permanent license tag….just a temporary one on my car! Go somewhere else! They are horrible! More

Confident in what we were told, I left to take our youngest son home, leaving my wife to finalize the paperwork with our daughter. That’s when Honda of Gainesville took advantage of the situation. They deliberately changed the numbers, raising the vehicle price by $2,000 and slashing the trade-in value by $4,000. They completely disregarded the deal we had agreed upon. My wife trusted them to honor their word, but instead, they manipulated her and my daughter during this special moment. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide printed paperwork for review—instead, they handed over a USB with the documents, likely hoping we wouldn’t realize the deception until it was too late. When we got home and reviewed the paperwork, we discovered their blatant fraud. It’s clear that Honda of Gainesville preys on women and exploits trust. What should have been a happy milestone for my wife and daughter became an infuriating experience due to the dishonesty and manipulation of this dealership. I strongly urge anyone—especially women and families—to avoid Honda of Gainesville at all costs. They are untrustworthy and will take advantage of you the first chance they get. Moreover, communication with James has also been excellent as he has been there when I have had questions and inquiries. My new Pilot is so comfortable and great to go on long trips with. This is my third Honda as I have always been very pleased with Honda vehicles. I plan on having this vehicle for a long time but will see James at Honda of Gainesville about my next purchase indeed! More

Today September 5, 2022 I went to see Mr. James a sales man. He told me that he could negotiate a price with me on a car I was looking at over the phone. James was pleasantly persistent, graciously informative, humorous and attentive. I bought a CRV-EX Hybrid and I took a long time to do it. I got a good deal with out feeling like a jerk.
