Our buying experience started off normal and quickly turned into a horrible mess. When we showed up to test drive the car with an appointment we made more than 24hrs in advance the car was filthy. Not only that but it had all of the previous owners belongings in it including bank statements, face masks, debit cards and cigarette ash all over. We attempted to look over that as we were told they would take it to get detailed as we were wrapping up the deal. We were there for a total of 5 hours and less than an hour of that was the actual test drive and approval. Our sales person was heather and she left us for 30-40 minutes at a time for things like “taking the car back to detail” “going to get paperwork” but then we see she’s helping multiple other family’s at the same time and leaving us to just sit there and wait. Even while she was with us she was answering phone calls in the middle of our conversations on what we believe was her personal phone. While we also tried to look past that because we thought the detailing was just taking a little bit longer than expected but as we were in financing and wrapping things up they said they would bring the car up. Well we finished and waited 30 minutes in the lobby for the car and they finally came and said okay it’s up front. We go outside and the car still has all of the persons belongings in it and has cigarette ash all over the interior and windows including sand all over the back seat. The outside still had bugs and dirt all over it so at that point we grew frustrated. We were so over it we decided to leave and three days later we’re already having to drop the car off for the “I owe you’s” which we were told were minor like the air filter. We left the car there for a little over 48 hours and the service people let us know the wheel bearing had been severely damaged from the previous owner and that they repaired it. We then became extremely angry because that’s a huge safety thing and with driving around with two children they put all of our lives in danger. We finally got the car back and let them know they should of been more upfront with the repairs. Then maybe a week or less we found ourselves having to take the car back up there as we were having some concerns over the car. Turns out the cam shaft sensor was dead and was making the car inoperable. I took it up there as the manager requested and was met with a man who was very disrespectful and aggressive. They gave a rental tiguan that had interior lights that didn’t work and barely any gas. Next day I call to check on the progress of the car and was told they don’t know where our car is and that it was even dropped off. I spent the whole day talking to all the staff members to try and find our car. They finally found it about 12 hrs after it had been dropped off and the manager claimed they had been working on it this whole time and we’re trying to recreate the problem. About 4 hours after I get a call from Tim in service and he said they had just gotten the car and wanted to understand what had happened before he tried anything. He was the one who finally was honest and informative. He told us it’s easier to be honest even if it’s not the greatest news so you don’t have to keep up with lies. He’s the only person who didn’t treat us like a business deal and treated us like humans who have a family and simply wanted a new car. The fact that we were told multiple different things from the sales manager and sales associates which ended up not being the problem or what they were actually doing made us not believe anything. Then when I tried to explain to the general manager our frustrations about the experience and how our car was marked certified pre owned yet had all these problems they treated me horrible saying “you’re driving around in a 20,000$ rental and we’ve done a lot for you” made me extremely mad as we bought our car because it’s what we WANTED AND PURCHASED. I understand and appreciate the rental but it’s not what we payed for. Then I get a call saying they need the rental back as a customer had purchased it. I took it back and let them know the interior lights were broken and they told me I just didn’t know how to turn it on. They came back inside and it was indeed broken so I told them they should be honest and fix that before screwing over yet another customer. All in all this was an extremely poor experience here and we’ve bought four cars here throughout the years. And now we’re getting emails asking do you know anyone in the market to buy a car,happy holidays. Yes we did know someone, my wife but heather didnt give her the time of day because she had chosen to help other family’s since she had already made money off us. With an experience like this it’s hard to trust you let alone want to help you with business. Never had such a horrible car buying experience. More
