Hi thanks for getting in touch with me. When I first got asked for a review it was before I even got to check the repair status of my car when it go towed back home. I was ok with the customer service at that point cause I had good faith that the techs were xxxxxxand sent it back fixed and Jay got $300. knocked off a $1,600. bill for programming my keys. Jay had originally told me that it would be a $400. charge to assess the key issue at that point we decide whether or not to proceed. Fast forward about 3 weeks and I get a call from Jay saying the keys were finished and the car could be picked up and the cost $1600. for programming 2 keys, and battery cable and a new battery. I didn't ok the work but figured I would have had him do it anyways, but maybe not at a $1600. cost had I known in advance. I had also inquired about selling Ford the car but that wasn't a option unless I traded it in for something. So to repair the engine Jay said it was around $11,000.00. I decided to just bring it back home till I could find a solution. I get the car back after having it towed home the fallowing weekend I went to try to turn it over. The same issue that I sent it to Ford to fix was blaringly staring me in my face. Only now I had two keys both missing their "shanks" given to me by Ford. The error message was still there. The "new" battery was about dead so I tried to charge it. It would only get to a half charge. And now I was out $1,300.00 plus a $140 and $40 for the tip I gave the drivers and his helper for pushing it to my back yard. I decided to call Jay and it took 3 attempts to reach the department, I kept having to leave messages with the answering service. The service was active during normal business hours which I find odd. I finally get ahold of Jay and he said I needed to have it towed back. I was like not at my expense, you sent it back unrepaired. Jay said he would "go to batt for me" and see if he could get Ford to pay the tow back. I told Jay to call me by this Monday. Jay didn't call me so I called Jay today, Wednesday and Jay said "sorry I struck out on getting you a tow" I was like then give me my money back, he then said well we sent it fixed. Then at another point in the conversation admitted they couldn't figure it out, then back to we sent it to you fixed, I don't know what happened. I told him I wanted it towed back at their expense and have it actually repair as far as the keys go. He was like it's not going to happen you need to send it back. I told him why should I pay for their mistake. I told him I contacted this review and was surprised no one had contacted him yet. I also said I have lawyers and will call them. He then offered Ford's lawyers number. That was when I felt like I was been robbed for real. I told him give me a number to call. He gave me Mark Butlje's number and I left him a voicemail. He called back and seems to be civilly trying to help me. He want's me to try the keys again and text him what I find. I didn't get a chance to do it tonight I got home to late from work. So I will try tomorrow and get back to him. I figure me mentioning this review changed the scenario to some extent. Had I not mentioned the review to Jay I suspect Mark may have not been willing to help me. Because I believe he is who said no to Jay about a paid for tow back.
