Our most recent service visit to Omeara started out as a simple warranty covered repair, a transmission leak. We bought the truck as a Ford certified preowned vehicle. We fully expected the repair to be cov simple warranty covered repair, a transmission leak. We bought the truck as a Ford certified preowned vehicle. We fully expected the repair to be covered by the warranty, less the $100 deductible. As It turns out the original transmission pan and gasket had been replaced with an aftermarket unit, voiding the warranty. We were disappointed Ford wouldn’t honor the warranty because of the aftermarket parts that we knew nothing about. This was an nearly an $800 repair. We understand O’meara’s position with Ford and that you’re not in business to do warranty work without reimbursement. The reason we will return to O’meara is the effort put into resolving this repair. Our service advisor, Jay was very patient and courteous, made numerous calls back and forth to us and the repair shop that last serviced the truck, trying resolve who installed aftermarket parts. He was unsuccessful in his diligent attempt, but did get us a 15% discount on the repair as a good faith gesture. More
