Recently, I became dissatisfied with a pre-owned purchase and was considering a different brand altogether. After several trips to the Service Department for various reasons Jennifer Hall helped me out and put me in touch with Treff and Pete to find a solution. Pete was empathetic to my situation, assured me that my experience was not ordinary, and asked for the opportunity to make things right. I did some shopping around, but true to his word Pete gave me the best deal on my trade. Additionally, Pete went above and beyond and got me the car of my choice, having it delivered from an out of state dealership. When I arrived at Sunset for delivery Howard met me at the door and introduced me to my new car; it was perfectly detailed and flawless. He had all the features preset to the most common selections, and walked me through how to use them. In terms of the financing, this was my second time working with Treff, and as before he made the finalizing paperwork easy and seamless. He had the most of the financing and details already in order, and was able to get me a better rate than expected. I was done within an hour and back on the road. Everyone gave me a business card and told me to call if I needed anything at all. This was easily the best car buying experience I've ever had, and I would recommend Sunset Ford to anyone. Saved the Day As I drove into town after a 4 hours drive from Chicago on a Friday afternoon, my power steering went out and I received a total of three malfunction As I drove into town after a 4 hours drive from Chicago on a Friday afternoon, my power steering went out and I received a total of three malfunction alerts. After rudely being turned away by three Dave Sinclair dealerships - Lincoln/GMC/Ford - I desperately called Sunset Ford and spoke with Jen Hall who was a tremendous help and coupled with Mike Konorsmann, saved the day! I dropped my Ford vehicle off on Friday evening and it was ready for pick up the following afternoon, so I was able to leave town on Sunday morning as planned. Sunset Ford made it a priority to get my car in and serviced knowing that I lived out of town and I am so appreciative of their help and excellent customer service. Thank you! More

He helped explain things clearly and made sure I knew what I was getting. We looked at a few cars, got the keys, sat down, spoke and felt them out before I made my decision. Jim made the buying process go very smoothly and was able to get the best price for me. I was also impressed with Treff in the finance department for making the financing part of the purchase go smoothly too. Horrible Experience, not once but twice This is the second time my husband and I went to Sunset Ford. Both times we've had a bad experience. This time Jenn wanted to try to make things right This is the second time my husband and I went to Sunset Ford. Both times we've had a bad experience. This time Jenn wanted to try to make things right from our last experience and had us work with Braden. We found the vehicle we wanted and filled out the credit application on Saturday morning. Braden tools us the banks would be closed and wouldn't be able to do anything till Monday to see exactly where the numbers would be at for payments but wanted to confirm he had everything and thai if we didn't hear from him by 3 to call him. Of course I called him about 3:30 to make sure he got it. So Braden called worth the numbers Monday and all was good so I went to treat drive it. Asked about the brakes and he said he'd have to look and get back to me. Braden also said they still had to send the vehicle through to have everything checked out. Why have a vehicle for sale if you're not ready to sell it is my first question...never heard anything about the brakes till we called to see what was going on so we could pick up the vehicle and sign the paperwork. Braden then (which is Wednesday at this point) said it was still in the shop and they were doing the brakes and rotors and he'd call us about an hour before it would be done. At this point it is 7 in the evening and nothing so my husband called Braden and explained to him how it seemed like we were begging him to sell us a car and at this point we weren't even sure we wanted to buy it anymore. As big as they are I find it hard to believe they had 10 in line Monday morning and they were still unable to get to this one till Wednesday. Braden in turn had his manager Perry call us. My husband told him the same thing and that we'd just come get the car seat I installed for when my husband and daughter went to pickup the vehicle. Perry also informed us there was something wrong with the sunroof which Braden failed to mention. Moral of our story with Sunset Ford is very poor communication. At no point were we asked what they could do to save the deal. So once again we will buy our next vehicle from another dealer. More
