My experience with Carman Dodge, and particularly Service Manager Jim Huey, has reached a point where I feel other customers should know exactly what I experienced. My 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona has already Manager Jim Huey, has reached a point where I feel other customers should know exactly what I experienced. My 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona has already been through an extraordinarily long and complicated repair process. After finally getting the vehicle back, I discovered additional issues that needed to be addressed. I did what any customer would reasonably do: I went back to an authorized Dodge dealership to schedule service. I went to Carman Dodge in person, explained the issues with the vehicle, and SUCCESSFULLY MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. The appointment was accepted, and I left the dealership believing my vehicle would be serviced. Then, after I had already left, I received a phone call informing me that Service Manager Jim Huey was REFUSING TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE. No meaningful explanation was provided to me. Think about how frustrating that is as a customer. I physically went to the dealership, was allowed to make an appointment, left believing the matter was handled, and only afterward was called and told that the service manager simply would not service the vehicle. What makes the experience even more disappointing is what happened immediately afterward. Instead of giving up, I drove to another authorized Dodge dealership, Hertrich Dodge in Elkton, Maryland. They entered my VIN into their system and immediately saw a caution associated with the vehicle's extensive service history indicating that STAR/Chrysler may need to become involved. Rather than simply refusing to deal with me or my vehicle, THEY EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE SEEING. They printed the information for my records. They discussed the situation with me. Most importantly, they STILL scheduled my Charger for an appointment so that my concerns could actually be evaluated. That is customer service. The contrast between the two dealerships could not have been clearer. Hertrich encountered a complicated situation and communicated with the customer. Carman Dodge's response was apparently to have its service manager refuse the vehicle after his own department had already scheduled the appointment. My expectations were not unreasonable. I wasn't demanding that Carman immediately repair everything for free. I wasn't demanding that they ignore Chrysler procedures. I simply expected an authorized Dodge dealership to professionally evaluate the situation, explain any restrictions or requirements, and tell me what the next steps were. If STAR or Chrysler needed to become involved, tell me that. If additional authorization was required, tell me that. If there was some legitimate reason Carman could not perform the work, explain it to me. But accepting my appointment, allowing me to leave, and then calling afterward to tell me that Jim Huey was refusing service without providing me a meaningful explanation is not how I believe a customer should be treated. After everything I have already experienced with this vehicle, this was the last thing I expected from an authorized Dodge dealership. I have documented what occurred and have informed the appropriate parties involved with my vehicle and its ongoing buyback process. Based strictly on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Carman Dodge's service department. The difference between how Carman handled the situation and how Hertrich Dodge handled the EXACT SAME VEHICLE on the EXACT SAME DAY speaks for itself. One dealership gave me a refusal. The other gave me an explanation, documentation, and an appointment. As a customer, I know which experience I consider professional. More

Bad customer service, bad communication and they damaged my exhaust during transmission replacement tried to give it back like I wouldn’t have noticed and refused a loaner to fix their error. Jeep corpora my exhaust during transmission replacement tried to give it back like I wouldn’t have noticed and refused a loaner to fix their error. Jeep corporate did reimburse me for rental after paying out of pocket but dealer should have stepped up as they damaged the vehicle. Will do my best to never have to go back to this dealership ever. I purchased a Jeep Wrangler 4xe (PHEV) from this dealership and the electric motor/battery has been giving me problems for several months. The vehicle was dropped off for service a 2nd time on Dec. dealership and the electric motor/battery has been giving me problems for several months. The vehicle was dropped off for service a 2nd time on Dec. 12th for a recall, which they said would take 1-2 hours and would resolve the ongoing problems, and a fix of the “death wobble”, an extremely common issue with Wranglers. They had the vehicle for EIGHT full days and refused to provide a loaner vehicle. The day after the vehicle was picked-up, I was turning at an intersection and the vehicle lost motor function/propulsion, leaving me sitting in the middle of the intersection with traffic oncoming from both directions. Fortunately, the vehicle began to accelerate with not much time to spare. I then spoke with the Service Manager, Jim Huey, who seemed to be bothered by my phone call and certainly didn’t care that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and *literally* put lives at-risk. He didn’t even offer so much as an apology. There was no sense of urgency on their part and his attitude was essentially “we’ll fix when we can fix it”. Not only did they not repair the vehicle, but it was worse off than it was before they serviced it. There are several other concerns with this dealership and their handling of this entire situation, which is still ongoing. More

Somehow, well doing something they snapped something with the transmission. They refused to tape responsibility. They wanted to charge us $700 to fix what they broke. Had to call the state police. They broke our vehicle and tried to blame us. Will never ever recommend this dealership. They kicked my husband the dealership and told him to call a tow truck and take the car elsewhere. More
