I purchased a Volvo XC90 from Smythe Volvo in November 2024, and after deliberately waiting a few months to post this review, I can confidently say I couldn't be happier with both my vehicle and the entir 2024, and after deliberately waiting a few months to post this review, I can confidently say I couldn't be happier with both my vehicle and the entire dealership experience. I wanted to make sure everything still looked good after some time with the vehicle before sharing my thoughts. ## Sales Process The sales team at Smythe was refreshingly professional and knowledgeable about the Volvo lineup. My sales consultant, Jose Del Valle, took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for in a family SUV and guided me toward the XC90 without any of the typical high-pressure tactics. What really impressed me was how Jose handled it when they didn't have exactly what I wanted - he found an alternative with a different interior color but matching all my other requirements. To be honest, I actually ended up enjoying this interior color more than my original choice! Jose's ability to listen to my needs and find the right solution showed his expertise and genuine interest in customer satisfaction. They were transparent about pricing and available options, which made the decision-making process much easier. ## Finance Department The financing process was quick and straightforward. No unnecessary upselling of add-ons, just clear explanations and signing what we agreed on. ## Vehicle Delivery When I picked up my XC90, there was actually a minor issue that was discovered. What impressed me most was how the team handled it - they immediately brought in the service department to address the problem. When they realized it would take some time to resolve, Jose arranged for someone to drop me off at my house since I needed to get back to work. This level of customer service really stood out to me and showed their commitment to making things right. I was able to pickup the car a couple of hours later and everything has been working fine since then. ## Conclusion If you're in the market for a Volvo, I highly recommend Smythe. From the initial test drive to how they handled the minor issue during delivery, their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident at every step. From the moment I entered the dealership a couple weeks ago through the point of sale, the staff treated me as their most valued customer. Neil Amaral, (used car manager), personally engaged with me to finalize terms and make things right and ensured Smythe won my business. Abood Katib (financing manager) made it his business to speak to Neil to work out good pricing for me on warranties and the car itself, even though this was partially outside of his job. David Mensah did a great job of walking me through the vehicle step by step and was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Henry Zhu was covering for Abood when I came to pick up the car and pay for it...he also helped enhance the warranty to an even better one and provided outstanding service and efficiency. A+ all around. I've purchased 2 cars (non volvos) from dealerships unrelated to Smythe in the past. Horror story having to save my wife from a bad situation at one....this experience was nothing like it and was first class treatment all the way.
