After tons of research, lots of phone calls, and a less-than-pleasant experience trying to buy a car closer to home at other dealerships, I expanded my search and saw that Clinton Honda had exactly th less-than-pleasant experience trying to buy a car closer to home at other dealerships, I expanded my search and saw that Clinton Honda had exactly the model, trim level, and color I wanted for our new car. After a quick call to the very friendly and down-to-earth Joe Vizzi, who quoted a fair price right off the bat and assured there would be no surprises or extra charges beyond the document fee (which is much more reasonable here than at other NJ dealerships I checked out), my partner and I drove a little farther out of our way to Clinton Honda to complete the purchase. After we test drove the car and Joe gave us a thorough run-through of the car's features, we sat down to fill out the paperwork. I had warned Joe ahead of time that we were skittish about spending time at the dealership indoors due to covid, and he and Mark Whitney, the finance person we worked with, were very accommodating, setting us up outside at a table to get all the paperwork completed, despite the chill and wind. Both men were masked (no chinstraps here!), and put us at ease. I braced myself for the other shoe to drop during this process, as other dealerships had promised no hidden fees or dealer add-ons, only to find out that that was not the case, but there was no such bait-and-switch at Clinton Honda. Joe is a man of his word. From start to finish, the team was trustworthy, respectful, and accommodating. No hard sells on warranties or other features, just a good solid sales pitch. And despite covid-related delays at the DMV with plates, the team at Clinton Honda (Kristen and Lauren, along with Joe), made sure to get us our plates and registration fast, before our temps expired. If you shop around at other dealerships first, prepare to buy your car at Clinton; you'll experience a night-and-day difference and won't bother going anywhere else. We're thrilled with our new car, and if we had to do it all over, would buy another Honda from Joe Vizzi without hesitation. Thanks, Joe! More
