The entire process was smooth and it was surprisingly enjoyable. I have never bought a car from another dealership that went this smooth. I usually leave stressed out wondering if I really received a great deal or if I was taken advantage of. I didn't feel like this when I left South Oak. I traveled there from Michigan because the price listed on their website, as I found South Oak through an internet search for the vehicle I wanted. I traveled there from Michigan because the price listed on their website, as well as on a third party website, was better than anything I could find in state. To my surprise the dealership quoted me a price ABOVE the price on the website. I was told the price I saw was based on all of the discount programs they had of which I only qualified for one "where I lived". This was not made clear on their website or the third party website and felt like a bait and switch tactic. The price I ended up with I could have gotten closer to home which was BS! Until this is addressed I cannot in good conscience recommend this dealership. My salesperson, John Lipe, was the only reason I completed this purchase. He was very knowledgeable about my vehicle and was the ultimate professional. Mr. Lipe thoroughly explained the features of my chosen vehicle and made me feel better about the transaction. If anyone does go though South Oak I highly recommend they ask for Mr. Lipe. More
