This was the best experience I’ve ever had, buying a car from the dealer. My salesman, Jimmy G. went above and beyond, and answered all my questions (even though some were probably pretty obviously) . LOVE from the dealer. She was so thrilled with the car and Bryan so she brought me back on the 4th and we purchased the car. The whole experience took about an hour to where Bryan and the dealership were phenomenal! Looking forward to my next vehicle experience with Bryan and Golf Mill Ford. Sincerely, Lisa Carducci. More

Made it easy on me the customer to get the whole back and forth over with before I came in to sign and drive away! Thank you Jimmy and Andrew More

I inquired online about a Black 2020 Explorer they had posted on their website for $51,200 with 5 miles on it and a production date of Dec. 2019. The price was about $9,000 less then the MSRP and $3,000 l posted on their website for $51,200 with 5 miles on it and a production date of Dec. 2019. The price was about $9,000 less then the MSRP and $3,000 less than the same vehicle at other dealerships nearby. I was contacted shortly after by Jackie Swiatek (Business Development Staff) who asked when I could stop by, however I live near Green Bay WI, so it’s quite a trek to go take a look at the vehicle. So while texting Jackie I ask specifically is the price going to change since I’m a Wisconsin resident buying in Illinois and if the mileage is truly 5 miles or if it’s been test driven a lot. She said it’ll stay the same price and it’s fresh off the truck at 5 miles driven. Both ended up being lies and in the future I’ll be speaking directly to a salesman. I’d rate Jackie a 1 out of 5 for lying to get me into the store and wasting my time in the process even though I ended up buying the car at Golf Mill Ford. Once I made an appointment to show up, I headed down in the morning on a Thursday. They knew I’d be showing up around 11am. When we got to the dealership my salesman Muhammad Pirzada made contact and I informed him I had a appointment with Jackie, however Jackie is not a saleswoman but a Business Development person. He grabs her from the back does a introduction to my salesman and leaves us. So he grabs the keys and says I’ll pull it around for you. I asked can I walk with you to get it and he has no problems with it. We get out to the lot and the Black Explorer is sitting there with white road salt all over it and has 158 miles on the odometer. So it’s been driven a pretty good amount for a 1 month old car. It was at this point he said get in the passenger seat and I’ll wash it yeah? I should’ve said no, the next thing I almost couldn’t believe, it was a contact/soft touch car wash. The ones with spinning mops that strike the body putting lots of fine scratches in the clear coat. He turned the wheel over to me and we took if for a test drive on the freeway and the city streets. It was exactly what I wanted features and all. We get back to the sales floor to start negotiations and he informs me that because it’s a sale being made in Illinois but the vehicle will be titled in Wisconsin that the price is not going to be as it was advertised online as the Area/Zone Incentives that ford offers are different depending on what part of the country you’re from, I guess. He said the best price he’ll be able to do for me is 54,900 which is nearly 4,000 more than the listed online price. I’m already down there and know I’m getting this car at a dealership so might as well be here and now. I say can you come down to 53,900 which another Explorer at another dealer in Madison had it listed for 54,200. We shook on it and talked to the finance manager Jon Kreatsoulas. Who was a great to work with despite making one of the extended service warranties expire at a 50,000 mile mark or 7 years whichever comes first, I should’ve raised it to 75,000 or higher just to be safe but he said I don’t drive that much anyway taking a figure from an possibly unreliable car I was driving. But I was also dealing with getting insurance figured out at the same time and I hadn’t eaten anything all day, now about 2:30pm but that’s on me and my mistake. He also slipped a form in there for Glass Etching Insurance, it’s pure profit for the dealership, I refused to sign for the charges of $400 and was informed by him that the price is built into the sale and if I don’t sign the paper the charge stays on and they just won’t file the serial number with that claims company. So I signed it. For his part Jon gets 4 stars, while being nice to talk to he didn’t work for what’s in my best interest and the etching charge is pretty shady in my opinion. After the contract was signed I took delivery right after. Muhammad went through a few more features of the car and looked for the Door Access Code which is on a little card that’s usually in the glove box so you can use the numbers on the door to gain entry to the car if you don’t have keys or your phone to unlock the doors. He said the systems guy is on vacation and he’ll get the code on Saturday (initially but on a later call said he meant Monday) from him. So I left and drove home, but later that weekend on Saturday. I called and said “no there’s has to be a way to retrieve the code.” He said I could bring it to a local dealer for a diagnostic charge or maybe wait til Monday to try and access the code in the database. A few calls later that same night and he calls with a solution a coworker must have told him to do which uses both fobs. It worked. Frustrating that it was so simple but he didn’t know how to do it in the first place. For Muhammad he was fun to talk to and friendly but the fact that he didn’t know about some of the features and ways to access information on the cars he’s selling he loses a star. As for the dealership itself, it gets a 3 out of 5 from me. Honestly I won’t be back, a old looking car wash that honestly shouldn’t even be used on new cars, to the blatant lying in online prices to get you into the dealership, to the salespeople who don’t know what they’re talking about or how to resolve problems, like a missing security door code without causing lots of stress and then finally finding out it’s so easy to get the information from within the car itself after numerous calls. As for the car itself I rate it 5 out of 5 since it’s exactly what I was looking for and it’s a blast to drive. That’s the most important thing here though. More
