Val in service is great. He has helped me navigate through some tech issues I was having with my Car-Net app connecting to the car. I was interested in a vehicle advertised for $35k. I set an appointment and began the conversations. I confirmed the list price of $35k. The sales person indicated that there was a coating put on th I set an appointment and began the conversations. I confirmed the list price of $35k. The sales person indicated that there was a coating put on the interior and exterior. I asked if that was included in the $35k advertised price. He said yes, it was. Took a test drive and proceeded to talk money. When he presented me with the cost, there was an additional $5k added to the $35k price. I asked where that came from. I was told $500 was because I wasn't a recent college grad, $500 of it was because I wasn't a first responder, and $4k was the treatment he had described earlier. I indicated I would not start the price negotiation at 14% higher than the advertised price. At this point the sales person brought in the manager Julian. He tried to explain the price difference as taxes, duties, license and doc fees. I indicated that was on top of the additional $5k, and the additional $5k needed to be addressed. Julian was not willing to honor the advertised price of $35k, so I left. To put it simply, this dealership engages in deceptive marketing practices. They hide $4-$5k in additional cost until you are at the negations table. Slimy. I left and purchased a vehicle at another dealership that did not hide costs. I will never spend a penny with Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago. More

Well what can I say about the service department that will be deemed appropriate firstly my service associate Adam Khamsot was absolutely amazing! He first told me how long he thought my car would be ser will be deemed appropriate firstly my service associate Adam Khamsot was absolutely amazing! He first told me how long he thought my car would be serviced and offered to RSVP me a rent a car (my warranty offered it) and in the days afterward he gave me a step by step on what needed to be ordered and what needed to be fixed and how long it would take and that’s a great quality to have in the customer service industry. I also want to add whoever trained Adam did an awesome job as well because I’ve come across a few people that wasn’t trained correctly and it showed in their customer service, so kudos to you Adam, and your team of technicians. My car is running perfectly fine now. More

I am still unhappy about the finance team running credit checks without my consent when I came in with my own financing through my bank. This affected my credit score. Horrible business practices. Then someone at the dealership offered me a $50 gas card to lie on the last survey from Volkswagen to give a 5’s on the survey. Your staff is untrustworthy. His name is Julian. He called and texted and begged me to give all 5’s on the survey. When I told him why - because of the unnecessary credit checks, he lied again and said he would have some from Financing to do something about - as if that even possible, which it’s not. More
