This was the absolute best car dealership experience I have EVER had. I walked in to VW of Downtown Chicago with minimal expectations, worrying about the usual pressure and stress at a dealership when wan have EVER had. I walked in to VW of Downtown Chicago with minimal expectations, worrying about the usual pressure and stress at a dealership when wanting to look at cars. Little did I know I would walk out... one, with a beautiful new used car; but two... feeling like I had just gained a loving family. Gabe, the Senior Sales Lead, is a one-of-a kind gentleman and the most down to earth person. Immediately, his personality enticed my mom and I in. Gabe has a special gift with cars and with social interactions. I can confidently say that he is the only reason why I walked out of that dealership with a beautiful car that I was comfortable purchasing. Gabe made us feel like we were part of his family! His warmth and compassion for his customers does not go unrecognized. I had been to many dealerships searching for the right car and I never had experienced such authenticity in a sales rep. Instead of intimidating interrogation that is often the reputation of dealerships, Gabe took the time to get to know us as customers. It was a pleasure getting to know his morals and values as they heavily aligned with our own. He made a car-buying experience so personable and after all... that should be the number one goal of every dealership: to make the customers feel like family, not just a "number" or sale. He is a loving family man and has the best interest at heart for the work he does. Gabe has genuine love for not only "Volkswagen" the brand, but also for his team members that he works with. He spoke very highly of every colleague and upheld excellent professionalism! You could tell by his stories and energy that he loves his job and his team. Being a customer at VW of Downtown Chicago was one of the best decisions I made in 2022 and the only reason I will return (AND highly recommend this dealership to everyone we know) is because of Gabe Ceniceros. I trust my car's life in his hands and I truly felt so well taken care of by every department member we encountered. I would also like to give my deepest gratitude to Julian Perez. He was a huge bundle of joy every time I encountered him! I remember my car had to get some work performed and when I picked it up, Julian wanted to make sure my car was washed and filled with gas. He kept asking if I needed anything and again really embodied this "family" feeling at VW. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion was evident for his customers. I live in the Chicago suburbs, so it is not the quickest drive for me to commute downtown! But as I said, Gabe has our loyalty forever now and I can't thank him enough. He reassured me I was making the best decision financially without added pressure. He also continues to reassure me that if I ever need anything at anytime I can reach out to him personally and that my car is in the best hands.
