Aft While negotiating the purchase of a 2018 Volvo S90 with 36k miles, I twice asked about the condition of the brakes. I was assured they were fine. After driving about 5k miles, another Volvo dealer told me that I needed brakes, rotors, a shock and new tires. $2,400. Calls to McGrath (18) went unreturned. Finally, I was told they'd do nothing. After a bad review on their website, a GM (Troy Hancock) replied to call him. I did...4 times. Eventually a different manager called me to again tell me they'd do nothing. I wasn't looking for $2,400 but something should have been done. More

BUYER BEWARE. THIS DEALERSHIP IN MY OPINION WILL SCAM YOU IF THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. I located a vehicle at this dealership online and called and confirmed its THIS DEALERSHIP IN MY OPINION WILL SCAM YOU IF THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. I located a vehicle at this dealership online and called and confirmed its availability and details. I drove an hour each way and when I showed up, the vehicle had 20% more miles (about a thousand miles) than it had been advertised to have. Of course, they didn't tell me this until after I had signed most of the sales paperwork. Worse still, I verified three times with the dealership before driving there that the car had had no prior damage, but found out later that the vehicle had previously had substantial damage and a bad repaint job. I took delivery in the rain, so the several bad paint runs looked more like water and were not obvious until the vehicle dried the next day. There's no way the detailed department could have possibly missed these paint runs and there was even masking tape with paint on it on the vehicle. It's possible that the dealership themselves damage the vehicle and repainted it. I called them immediately the next morning and they didn't even deny knowing that the vehicle had damage but they refused to do anything about it. Essentially they told me that because I had already signed the paperwork, they got me and there's nothing I could do about it. The GM refused to even pick up the phone after numerous calls but only sent me messages through sales people. This was a $75,000 vehicle. Save yourself trouble and stay far away from this dealer. They claim to be family oriented, but I've never been scammed like this at a dealership before this one. I'm in the process of trying to contact the state attorney and the office of the attorney general of the state of Florida to investigate this dealer More

I really wish my fiancé and I had read the reviews on this dealership before trying to purchase a 2020 GMC Sierra pickup. August 10th, 2023, we went to browse their used car selection and found the truc this dealership before trying to purchase a 2020 GMC Sierra pickup. August 10th, 2023, we went to browse their used car selection and found the truck we wanted. Our salesman was Jordan Lesby. We were told no money down and they rolled the tax, title and registration into the price. Dealership told us our loan was approved by the bank and we drove the truck off the lot without spending a single nickel. My fiancé nor I have the best credit so at the time we were surprised to have been approved and it felt too good to be true. We took the dealership at their word because they told us financing this truck would build our credit up. The dealer recommended we get the protective coating on the truck because they had just gotten the truck in and didn’t have time to clean it yet, so he rolled that into the price of the truck as well. We scheduled a time to take the truck in and we dropped it off 6:30am before they even opened so we could get to work on time. Left work at about 4:30pm to go pick up the truck and nothing was done. The truck was not cleaned, the brakes were at 67% and the oil & filters were not changed. A finance woman approached us and said if we re-scheduled another appointment, she would make sure it got done. Again, we dropped the truck off early, went to work and left work early to go pick up the truck. Yet again nothing had been done to the truck. Drove it off the lot with zero promises fulfilled. We paid another shop to change the oil & filter for us and give the truck the cleaning it needed. Fast forward to last Friday, September 8th, 2023. My fiancé receives a call from a woman at the dealership saying that the loan from the bank (Flagship Credit) was in fact not approved and they wanted the truck back if we couldn't provide the necessary documents proving his employment. Monday September 11th, 2023, the same woman from the dealership called again to say the loan was still not approved and that they needed the truck back immediately. The woman said it did not matter that all the paperwork was in his name, and that she had the authority to pull the registration without his approval. Later that day Kenny Wadman the used car manager/customer care director called my fiancé and threatened that if he wasn't going to comply, he would report the car as stolen and have him arrested for grand larceny. As well as threatened to have the truck repossessed and that he would call the attorney generals office. After arguing with him, Kenny gave my fiancé 3 days to get this situation straightened out. We called Flagship Credit from which was funding the loan and confirmed all the information they needed. Today, Wednesday September 13th, 2023, my fiancé receives a call from his employer saying they received a call from Flagship Credit, and they confirmed his employment with the company. At that point we figured the issue was resolved. While at work my fiancé receives a call from the dealership saying that the bank has denied the loan due to his credit and they needed the truck back. We returned the truck but kept the license plate and all other paperwork in my fiancés name for his protection. I waited in our other vehicle while my husband went inside the dealership to speak to Kenny Wadman and handed over the keys to the truck to him and asked for his last name. Mr. Wadman said he would not give him that information. I guess Mr. Wadman doesn't know that google exists. My fiancé and him exchange some choice words and walk outside. I step out to get my fiancé and Mr. Wadman proceeds to tell my fiancé and I that it is not his fault we did not get the truck and that he isn't the one with "credit issues". He then implies that we couldn't afford a lawyer even if we wanted to and that they manage over 30 other dealerships. More choice words were exchanged, and we left the dealership. To say this was a poor experience is an extreme understatement. More

My husband went to McGrath Volvo to purchase a preowned truck he had seen and applied for online. Once we got there, we were told the truck was no longer available, and also the amount they quoted for our truck he had seen and applied for online. Once we got there, we were told the truck was no longer available, and also the amount they quoted for our trade-in drastically changed. My husband ended up purchasing a pre-owned lifted truck, spending over $30,000. We took the truck home that evening and woke up in the morning to a pile of oil in our custom driveway! My husband had to leave for work and parked his truck at work, also depositing oil all over their driveway. My husband had to argue with McGrath to get the truck back in after having it for one day for them to look at the issue and get it resolved! They told my husband it was a seal that was leaking, and they would order the part and let him know when he could bring it back in. My husband went under the truck and found the pan to be completely rusted through with 2 holes in the pan. Nevertheless, it has been a nightmare to get Mcgrath Volvo to correct or handle anything on a truck that we owned for one day. We have since also foundhi other mechanical issues with the truck. McGrath shows no care or concern for their clients. l would highly recommend staying far away from this company if you are looking for a pre-owned vehicle. We have dealt with Carmax, and they are wonderful and stand behind their vehicles!!! the way it should be. Mcgrath Volvo shame on you absolutely disgusting service! More
