The dealership add in of nearly $3000 without good reason I felt was just excessive. The salesman said it was for a brake job including rotors plus bushings on the suspension, yet when we asked for the detai I felt was just excessive. The salesman said it was for a brake job including rotors plus bushings on the suspension, yet when we asked for the detailed maintenance report, he couldn’t produce it. The dealer came “down” $1500, but I feel like the total unexplained $3000 should have been taken off. It was only after we got done with finance that the salesman produced the dealer inspection report showing nothing was done to the vehicle. The finance guy tried to include gap insurance yet we put down $10000 - nearly 25% of the purchase price. He also tried to include an extended warranty for $5000 without asking me. When I asked, he said it was included with the price when really it would have been included in the financing, not the original price of the vehicle. He removed both at my request, but I felt he was less than transparent. In hindsight, it seemed a little shady. More
