Honest Review: To start, when dealing with the dealership, make sure to record your conversations because what the advisor says can often change. The first time I brought in my Ram 1500, it was fo dealership, make sure to record your conversations because what the advisor says can often change. The first time I brought in my Ram 1500, it was for a radio screen issue. The truck was in the shop for nearly 12 days. The second time, it was for a sensor problem, but they discovered an issue with the front differential on the passenger side that I wasn’t aware of and replaced it without consulting me. On the third visit, I had an issue with a door sensor that was causing the truck to lock up while driving. Additionally, I reported a problem with the front parking sensor activating on its own. They claimed to have fixed it, but I still have the same issue today. I brought the truck in again for the front differential repair. The boot covering the joint was leaking grease, which was also covering the rim. They repaired it, but as a dealership, they should have known that replacing a steering component requires a realignment. I had to return to the dealership and insist on an alignment, presenting evidence from another dealership showing it was needed. They initially said it wasn’t necessary but eventually agreed with me. Then, I took the vehicle in for vibrations and mentioned that the air damper wasn’t functioning. The employee initially said it was a recall issue and would be fixed under warranty. Later, he contradicted himself, saying it wasn’t a recall and I would have to pay a co-pay. They had performed a special balancing to address the vibrations, which didn’t work. Each time I’ve brought the vehicle in, it’s returned covered in mud inside, as if they were using my Ram as a truck for their personal use. I even found cigarette ash inside, though I don’t smoke. I finally had the engine-seal repair done, and I was satisfied with that work. However, when I contacted Uconnect about a software update for the radio system, I was told to take the Ram to the dealership. The mechanic, who I’m certain didn’t check the software version, attempted to install the latest update and ended up installing an incorrect version. The radio screen wouldn’t turn on afterward. The vehicle stayed in the shop for a week, despite being told it would take three days. I was without the truck for 16 days. When I spoke to the manager, he acknowledged the issue, but I ended up having to pay for the damaged unit. Additionally, they left the truck filthy inside, and there’s now a warning in the history stating I’m a problematic customer for complaining and trying to take advantage of the warranty. First, it’s not my fault that the work is often done poorly. Second, the quality of the Ram vehicle itself is questionable given the problems encountered with just 50,000 miles and five years of use. As I told the service manager, it’s like bringing in a vehicle for an oil change and the mechanic failing to tighten the bolt properly, leading to engine damage. Who is responsible—the mechanic for their poor service or me for trusting in the quality of their work? It seems that their credibility is lacking, and frankly, I wouldn’t want to do any more business with them due to their lack of values. More
