Hi, Thanks for reaching out. As noted in a previous response to a Lexus survey regarding the service. There were issues with the replacement of remote batteries which were charged as part of the service package. Originally we were under the impression that the battery was changed on the remote that was brought in and an extra battery would be sent home when the vehicle was returned. This was not done and when I reached out to Maria she kindly refunded the amount for the one battery. Several days later, when we opened the remote that was sent in during the service it was noticed that this battery was not changed either. This made us think whether all the items noted to be changed as part of the package and charged accordingly were actually done so. We just have to assume that it was done so at this point. Not sure what can be to make it right at this point but the rear tailgate has been only operating/functioning intermittently when using the remote or pressing the button inside. I was informed of a significant amount just to diagnose the issue. From what I read/see online this is a know problem with this vehicle model. Would the dealer be able or willing to resolve the issue at a reasonable rate and also provide more discounts or any sort of free services for the future? This vehicle is being used by an elderly person so the budget is very tight. Thanks again for reaching out! You can also reach me via text/email as noted on the account used for the service.
