I brought my Subaru in for a recall on the exhaust manifold. The recall states if the bolts are found loose the dealer will replace the pipe and bolts along with gaskets required. I received a call st manifold. The recall states if the bolts are found loose the dealer will replace the pipe and bolts along with gaskets required. I received a call stating my car was ready. Upon arrival at the dealer I received a receipt for $44 that was I’m assuming billed to Subaru for the recall. I was told that there were some other issues with the car but never was it mentioned the recall wasn’t performed. The intake bolts were found to be loose as well as an exhaust leak at the turbo. I asked for an estimate to repair these things and was told it would be the following Monday before it could be estimated by the technician. I received a call stating it would be $600+ for the repairs. I asked if they could go ahead and repair it. I later then received another call stating that it would be $1600+ to repair it because the exhaust manifold was where it was leaking. (I thought this was repaired?? someone was charged $44) The turbo leak wasn’t mentioned again so $1600 for the exhaust manifold leak that was supposed to had already been repaired under the recall, tightening the intake and a sensor that is “broken”. When I asked about the recall should have covered the exhaust manifold leak I was told “I can’t do nothing for you on the manifold because it had been removed before”. This was never mentioned when I picked the car up the first time also who was charged $44?? And for what?? To my knowledge the exhaust manifold hasn’t been removed. I’m very disappointed at the service I received here and the lack of information/communication I received from the advisor. More
