Paul answered my questions and concerns about the Buick lineup. I liked the size and room of the Encore plus the AWD. The SUV has great acceleration and great on gas. The trim features were much better than the Trax. I wanted a certain color and Paul found the SUV. I wanted to pay a certain price with 0% financing. Paul helped me with the negotiations. The team at Gates takes care of my SUV after the sale with kind and courteous service. Next vehicle I will certainly start with Gates GMC. mark More

unhappy long time customer The recall work was satisfactory. And I DID go in a day early by mistake, to which they were very accommodating. But, AFTER the work was complete, I was told of 2 dents in my tailgate. (There is NOTHING in my garage that matches the dents). I really feel that they backed into something at the dealer. Also, I was told that he knew a guy that would fix it for about 75 dollars. Those dents were NOT there when I brought the truck in. But, I can't prove it so my new truck with under 600 miles now has dents. This truck, from sales to service has been a nightmare. (The truck itself is very nice...) More

Great experience. I bought a 2015 Sierra Denali 2500HD Diesel from Jay Handfield last November. He worked pretty hard to close the deal. It had been a while since we had been car shopping, as we are both retired and don't dr My wife and I were looking to replace our 2005 Buick Lacrosse. It had been a while since we had been car shopping, as we are both retired and don't drive much anymore. We started a discussion with our son Brendan about looking at a new all wheel drive Lacrosse. I asked Brendan to get me some preliminary information on pricing and one of the dealerships he called was Gates. He had bought a vehicle from Gates before and had a good experience. We got the preliminary information from our son and decided to stop in that weekend to look at our options. We had no intention to buy a vehicle that day. On the car ride there, Brendan explained we were meeting with Tara. I asked him if that was a guys name, and I told him I usually do not like working with females. Tara changed my opinion. She was friendly and very good at explaining all the options on the vehicle. She made it very easy for us. Everyone we interacted with at the dealership would stop and say hello how are you congratulations as we were sitting at her desk. It was truly a pleasurable experience. Tara wanted to make sure it was the right car for my wife and I, but we were never pressured to make a decision. She even sent a driver to pick us up in East hartford at our home the day we picked up the new car since we were transferring plates and not trading our vehicle. We were welcomed with a hug from Tara and we drove away happy! Our son is coming over this weekend to check out the new vehicle in our garage! It felt natural to buy the car there, and my wife was smiling the whole time because everyone was so nice! More
