Avoid signing until you check EVERY document I agreed to buy a 2025 Jeep Gladiator for a signed Out-the-Door price of $38,525.90, but later discovered that different dealer documents showed inflated and to buy a 2025 Jeep Gladiator for a signed Out-the-Door price of $38,525.90, but later discovered that different dealer documents showed inflated and inconsistent numbers: Buyer’s Order: $41,845.85 Retail Installment Contract: $43,916.85 Bill of Sale: $37,327.85 They even added a $3,250 down payment I never paid, and charged some dealer fees twice, even though they were already included in the original quote. I went back to the dealership to correct it, but they dismissed the signed OOD as “not valid.” ⚠️ If you shop here, double-check all paperwork — don’t trust just the first number they give you. I am now filing complaints with: Florida Attorney General (FDUTPA complaint) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (TILA disclosure discrepancy) This review is to warn other buyers, not to attack — but facts matter, and documents must match. My experience at Jerry Ulm CDJR was excellent. I have driven a 2014 RAM 1500 Sport 4x2 for eleven (11) years and put 276,230 miles on it. The truck never let me down and I wanted another RAM. I live in Palm Beach County and could not find a good enough deal locally. I called Jerry Ulm CDJR who had the exact truck I was looking for not afraid to travel to buy one. I negotiated a deal on a 2025 RAM 1500 Tungsten 4x4 over the phone with Devonte Myles and his management team. We were quickly able to come to an OTD price that was better than the price they previously quoted me four (4) months prior when the truck arrived from the manufacturer. I booked a flight from FLL to TPA which the dealership is located only a few miles away from the airport. Devonte Myles had the truck clean and paperwork complete. Martin Gero made the finance paperwork easy to understand and quickly to execute. I was in and out the door in my new truck in just over one (1) hour. I sincerely appreciate the Jerry Ulm CDJR Team and highly recommend if you are shopping for a new RAM to give Devonte Myles and the Jerry Ulm CDJR management and finance team a chance to sell you one. I recently purchased a Jeep from this dealership, and I want to take a moment to highlight the positive and the areas that could be improved. First and foremost, Devonte did a phenomenal job. His knowledge of the vehicle and ability to understand what the customer is looking for is exceptional. Even when the process became frustrating, he remained professional and tactful in his communication, which is why I gave him 5 stars. He demonstrated that he understands the importance of completing the job and ensuring the customer is taken care of all the way through. I also want to recognize Martin, who was outstanding during the closing process. He took the time to explain the dealership’s history and carried himself with professionalism, making the final steps of the sale smooth and informative. Where my experience fell short was in the financing process. Despite coming in with a pre-approved check from my bank, I felt pressured to use the dealership’s in-house lender. Both the Finance Manager and Devonte insisted they could secure a better interest rate, but I had already made my decision. I explained that I wanted my wife involved in the process, but since she works the night shift at a hospital, it wasn’t possible for her to come in before work. Unfortunately, the Finance Manager continued to push for it, without fully considering our circumstances—including the fact that we live in Wesley Chapel and she would have had to fight Tampa traffic before her shift. As a U.S. service member with a spouse who is a first responder, I found this lack of flexibility and understanding disappointing. Once I made it clear I was moving forward with my pre-approval, I noticed a shift in tone and demeanor from both the Finance Manager and Devonte. While Devonte handled it professionally, it was clear that there was frustration and an eagerness to conclude the process. I also wish more time had been spent upfront explaining the warranty options and coverage. Had that been communicated earlier, I could have budgeted for it instead of paying out-of-pocket later. To add to the frustration, within 15 minutes of leaving the dealership, the Auto Start/Stop warning light came on in my new Jeep. I also noticed a knocking sound during shifting when accelerating, which makes me question whether the vehicle had been properly serviced before sale. This experience leaves me unsure if I want to return here for servicing. Overall, the dealership itself is impressive and clearly moves a lot of Jeeps. However, I would encourage the management team—especially in finance—to put more focus on customer care and to recognize that not all customers can or should be pressured into using in-house lending. Incentives and kickbacks should never come at the expense of customer trust. With that said, I want to sincerely thank Devonte and Martin for their professionalism. They were the highlights of my experience and truly represent what good customer service should look like. More
