I placed an inquiry online, and within minutes Abe had the ball rolling to make this a wonderful experience. We drove three hours to see the car Abe had dutifully and honestly described and provided us a walk around video of. When we arrived at the Autobarn, Abe had the car clean, parked out front, and ready for us to drive. Everything was exactly as described. The buying process was easy (And we LOVED our time at the dealership. The art is awesome and facility is immaculate), and we found ourselves on our drive back to Michigan that same evening with exactly the VW we wanted. Abe even had our new vehicle's clock set to Michigan time :) We highly recommend the Autobarn, and will try them first for our future vehicle needs! More

Why I keep coming back This is the SEVENTH Volkswagen I've leased & all but the first was from Autobarn VW Countryside. Apparently, I love me these VWs, but more evident is This is the SEVENTH Volkswagen I've leased & all but the first was from Autobarn VW Countryside. Apparently, I love me these VWs, but more evident is that the people at Autobarn VW in Countryside keep me coming back, time after time. I've had only 4 sales people in the last 13 years (!) & they've all been terrific. Not your typical "car salesmen" (yes, they've all been men), they don't wheel-n-deal, they are considerate, respectful & talk with you, not AT you. The latest (just yesterday) was Abe Hamed (accompanied by Marek Hornik, who was very easy-going & friendly as well) . Abe is thorough, friendly, yet professional, listens carefully & was a pleasure to deal with. I brought my previous VW in for service yesterday, which I should comment on too. The folks (especially Ronnie) in the Service Department at this dealership are top-notch & are so pleasant & friendly. They keep you apprised of the status of your service & the waiting area is well-appointed to make the time go by. I wasn't planning on getting a new car/lease just yet, but was pretty much eased into it, not forced one bit. It really was easy. Abe didn't ever leave me for very long, kept me updated, explained all I needed & gave me a good deal. And a color I didn't even know existed! Habanero Orange! (I usually don't get excited over car colors, but this ... wow!) Many thanks to Abe & all of you over at Autobarn VW Countryside! I'll be back! More

Waking into the Autobarn, I was very nervous at first. Car dealerships make me very uncomfortable and the salesmen, in my experience, always make me feel like they have the most to benefit. Arlen was very knowledgeable about Volkswagen and i felt like he was easily relatable seeing as we were close in age. That being said, when we started talking numbers and cost of the vehicle, that need to put my guard up returned. I had come In with the full intent to leave with a vehicle and was given a family and friends discount. Immediately I felt the number that were brought to the table were arbitrary and did not see any benefit in being the family member of a 35 year volkswagen employee. After the sales manager had entered the room, I was thankfully brought paperwork that would illustrate the price discounts and a breakdown of the cost at hand. It wasn’t until many questions later and lot of back and forth conversation that we were able to reach and understanding and my wants were actually addressed. In the end I was very grateful for the effort that was put into the sale of my vehicle, which I absolutely love, I might add. The reason for four stars is due to the amount of time and effort it took to achieve the greater benefit. The other reason I gave a four star review was due to the finance manager who put a quick end to the excitement of purchasing a new vehicle. After sitting down to sign the paper work, everything appeared to be joyous until the question of purchasing a 10 year extended warranty was on the table. I requested a copy of my vehicles manufactures warranty which I was denied by the finance manager as if I was asking for something that didn’t exist. My boyfriend encouraged me to leave the room to seek the my car salesman Arlen who quickly got me what I needed. I wanted to be I formed when making a decision and I felt I was being punished for asking too many questions, as if i was wasting his time when my answer was leaning towards not purchasing the extended warranty. At one point in the conversation when backtracking and asking more questions about the extended warranty, the finance manager had said “it doesn’t even matter at this point since you are not opting to buy it and the paperwork had been printed.” The financial part of the sales deal had been my least favorite and most uncomfortable, to the point in which I had to get up and leave the room. I was very grateful for Arlen and his manager who quickly reassured me that they were on my side and would see to it that the finance manager would receive some feedback. With some minor deviations i would say Overall a good experience. I show no regrets in the decision to buy a vehicle from the Autobarn and it continues to show it was an investment well made as my salesman Arlen has followed up to make sure I am understanding and feel comfortable in my new vehicle. The sales manager and my salesman are no longer a threat to me but have given me a sense of mutuality and friendship. That being said is exceptional in itself as that is a first for me in this environment. More
