I only wished for one, specific update to be made to my car. A very specific software update. Not only did they not do the one thing I needed, they charged me to diagnose first, then refused to do the upda car. A very specific software update. Not only did they not do the one thing I needed, they charged me to diagnose first, then refused to do the update, and finally tried to push a bunch of completely unnecessary and straight up false car care services on me. The salesman Drew that I worked with was great! Very personal able and you could tell he really cared about us! HOWEVER Joe Machens did not hold up their end of the bargain. The engine was squeaking when we took it for a test drive and they had agreed to get that fixed before I took it home. After I brought it home, the issue was still there. When we brought the car back in, they told us there was nothing to fix and charged us the $150 diagnostic fee. They also overfilled the oil in my car by 4 quarts so the oil was halfway up the dip stick. Was able to fix that problem ourselves and when we showed the technician there wasn’t even an apology offered for their huge error that could have really damaged the vehicle. I don’t intend to purchase a car from Joe Machens ever again. More
