First off, credit score was over 850 so should have qualified for the best available rate despite the price of the car. We negotiated the price of the car and then proceeded to negotiate best rates and was told 4.9%!! We repeatedly asked if this was the best rate VW Financing offers and they confirmed. The truth is 850+ credit score should of qualified for the 1.9% which is the actual best rate available as of the effective date. Nick, the sales manager explained to us after the purchase that we could have taken a 1.9% rate but we would have paid more for the car which is absolutely shady business practice. You should be able to negotiate the price of a car and the interest rate separately. To top it off, they didn't even get us financed with VW Financing! Turns out they shopped our loan and we ended up with a loan from Bank of America! We could of done that.. We specifically requested the best rate from VW financing and they ended up shopping us to B of A for the 4.9% rate. So goes back to us asking if this was the best rate VW offers. It was not. It apparently was the best rate B of A offered and we were not told we were financing with B of A. Speechless.. More

There was never any pressure to sign immediately and even had pricing for me from the previous day that they would honor unlike some others that I had talked to.
