The trim level, co The sales experience as car transactions go was pleasant given we had searched LA area inventories and knew exactly what we wanted. The trim level, color, and option packages desired were unexpectedly on site at Rusnak Volvo. There was not much required to sell us a Volvo but the test drive was helpful in confirming our choice. Salesperson Patrick Folsom was pleasant, polite, low key and knowledgeable. These characteristics are positive for the customer as well as the Volvo brand and demographic. As is normal for the negotiating aspect for "the deal", manager Ephrem Yohannes was in charge. The deal closed with a minimum of game playing and back and forth. Ephrem established the cost baselines early in the process and we knew quickly where things would probably end up; one is however never really confident or sure about getting the best deal possible. But there is a wealth of online references and cost comparisons including lease specific terminology that can inform the customer about the process and pitfalls (lease hacker, etc.). It seemed our transaction ending up being a good and fair outcome. Though the process remains circuitous and mysterious as far as real dealer costs and margins go. Also, remaining lease payments for the vehicle being surrendered end up in gross capitalized costs and this is not explicitly noted during the cost negotiation. Anyway, the sales experience was a good one. The support staff were pleasantly approachable, friendly and not distant as one might experience with other luxury car dealerships. The general ambience at the dealership was conducive to closing the sale and we felt comfortable during the two day process and would return in the future and recommend this dealership and Volvo to others. I've never had a more terrible experience purchasing a car. The first time purchasing at Rusnak Volvo. This was an all cash purchase no financing. This is my 3rd Volvo purchase in the last 4 years. The car was The first time purchasing at Rusnak Volvo. This was an all cash purchase no financing. This is my 3rd Volvo purchase in the last 4 years. The car was ordered and deposit paid 4-5 day before the car was expected. I was notified on June 4th the car had arrived. As I was out of town, I asked to get the car on Tues. June 10th. I was told I couldn't get the car that day because it was Patrick's (Sales Persons) day off. I was surprised he wouldn't come in to complete the sale. It was scheduled for Wed June 10 at 10:15am. I arrive 10 min. early and Patrick had not arrived. he arrived a few minutes late and informed me the car wasn't ready and need to be cleaned & detailed. I was told none of the paperwork was done even though all information had been provided 10 days before. I was then informed the Finance Mgr needed to do the paperwork and he wasn't in but was on his way. I found out later he had not been told about the appointment. He did finally show up at 11:00am. It took and additional 2 hours to do the paperwork including doing the contract 3 times because of mistakes. I did finally get the car, departing Rusnak Volvo at 1:45pm taking 3 1/2 hours to complete. More
