Phil Puleo, sales manager has been attentive, gracious and knowledgeable about each purchase I have made. This last experience, purchasing a new Miata RF was fantastic and great fun. This dealership and Phil in particular has always quoted a fair price from the start, never any high pressure sales and certainly never ant surprises!. Phil even went so far as to arrange to have me photograph the new Miata with my original 1990 Miata on December 31st when we picked up the car. In addition my brother also bought a Mazda3 during December. This vehicle was difficult to locate because of my brothers desire to have a manual transmission. Not only did he locate one but was able to reroute the car from another dealership on the east coast and arranged for both of us to pick up our cars on the same day! If you are in the market for a Mazda, put Wantagh Mazda on your shopping list. This is a dealership with a concern to ensure that their customers are treated in a fair. positive and courteous manner! More recently I have owned an Isuzu, an Acura, a Lexus, a Mazda Miata, an Audi, and two Mercedes.. Most were bought new, but the best car buying experience in all those years was this past week at Wantagh Mazda when I took ownership of a 2017 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Everybody in the showroom was knowledgeable, patient with all my questions and concerns, and friendly. Joe Bonavita took great care in explaining every aspect of the controls, navigation, telephone set up, and Sirius connection, so that even an old codger like myself felt at ease with everything. The sales manager, Phil Puleo was like encountering an old friend as he remembered selling a Mazda Tribute to my son over 15 years ago. Kenny Davis was smart, fast, and efficient in working out the financing process., and a terrific guy as well. The details of the deal, the trade in, and the final negotiations about price were relaxed and felt completely fair. The final cost was even a bit less than what we casually discussed at the outset. Nothing felt surprising or off base as is often the case at the conclusion of a car buying process. The test ride convinced me that everything I had heard and read about the car was accurate. The buying experience was truly tops. More

Phil put in extra time to make sure I knew how to operate the various functions including the Nav system. When it was time for me to return the vehicle it was painless as I dropped off the car at the dealership. Two days later I realized that I had left a favorite CD in the car when I dropped it off. No problem,although the car was moved off the premises Phil was going to have it retrieved for me. If you are in the market for a Mazda, see Phil. It takes a lot of time to research cars and prices, then to negotiate with various dealers, some of whom you suspect are not going to negotiate in good faith. Just over a week ago, I walked in through the AAA program and agreed to purchase a new car from George (Jorge) Ortiz. George was straight and honest from the first handshake to handing over the keys -- there were no fuzzy interactions. On the second visit when I arrived to pick up the car, he sat with me and explained the functions of my new Mazda3 in detail. He clearly loves the cars he sells and appreciates the no pressure attitude of Wantagh's no pressure sales strategy. Wantagh is NOT close to my place in Brooklyn, but I would heartily recommend a visit to anyone interested in buying a Mazda. More
