Phenomenal sales and finance staff I worked with both Christian Montes-Coyt and Henry Venegas in Sales and Phillip K. In Finance. Best car buying experience I have ever had. Great prices, Horrible salesmen My husband and I would come back to Gunn for the one simple price and holiday sales, however we would not recommend the two salesmen we worked with. T My husband and I would come back to Gunn for the one simple price and holiday sales, however we would not recommend the two salesmen we worked with. The “cannot be bothered” attitude was a huge turn off. We understand that Gunn salesmen do not work off of commission, but they definitely get some kind of kick back from the sale. With that being said, they should be more intuitive to their customers needs and actually seem interested in the sale. This is our first joint car purchase, for a brand NEW car so it needed to be top-notch and unfortunately, it wasn’t. Frank Macias was our salesman starting out, but later AJ Lopez took over since we came back in on a day Frank was on vacation. We started out looking at Civics. We took a few days and came back more interested in the HR-Vs. Frank was ok - he seemed completely bored with us (on his phone texting when we were looking at the car). When we asked him to get the keys to another car, he left us high and dry in the parking lot walking 50 ft in front of us. Don’t you think the salesman would want to stick with his customers? We told him from the beginning we would not be purchasing today and we need time to think about this. Seems like Frank shut down after hearing he would not get a sale that day. The holidays were busy and I came back in with my mom and sister to get their opinion on the HR-Vs the day after Christmas. Frank was gone so we got stuck with AJ. Way worse than Frank! I told him we were interested in the HR-Vs, but would not be purchasing today since my husband wasn’t there. He immediately asked what the stock number was for the HR-V I was interested in. Why would I know that? And why is that my responsibility to give the salesman the stock number? Do your job. But he insisted that I tell him exactly what I wanted to look at inside so he “wouldn’t have to walk all the way back from the lot to get more keys”. I reluctantly did the work for him and looked up the cars online and told him I wanted to see the EX gray with dark interior and the EX silver with light interior as well as an LX to compare. As the customer, if I wanted to look at every car on the lot, I should be able to without the salesman complaining that he has to walk far to get the keys. We looked at the cars and I came back with my husband the next day to purchase. Both Frank and AJ were there, but Frank was with a customer (even after we called a day in advance to make an appointment with him). So we got stuck with AJ again. My husband got there first and AJ told him that the day before I was interested in the Blue Steel Protection and window tint. I told him the day before I was absolutely not interested. He was trying to pull a fast one on my husband and sell him those items. When I got there he claimed that is what I said. I don’t have time to argue with a salesman - if I don’t want it, then drop it. I know how this works and how they try to slip things in here and there. After that, AJ moved at a snails pace and said he had to go in the back to “warm up” - we saw him through the office window texting on his phone. Terrible service. After dealing with AJ, Philip in financing was a breath of fresh air. He was nice and personable. However he did try to push warranties on us, but we understand that is part of their job. After the purchase, AJ showed us to our HR-V and helped set up Bluetooth. He reeked of cigarette smoke and was sitting in my brand new vehicle. Then to top it all off he bad mouthed Frank, his coworker. He said “you will receive a survey online within a few days. I want you to give me all 10s - if it’s not a 10, it’s a fail. I am very disappointed with the way Frank left you all high and dry tonight - that was completely wrong of him and I cannot believe he did that.” At that point, we just wanted him and to get out of our car and leave us alone. I hope he is happy that because of his customer service, we are rating them far from a 10 and a FAIL. More

AC fixed promptly and quickly The AC in my car went out and I called Gunn Honda on a Monday morning to set up an appointment for a Tuesday appointment. I dropped my car off on Tuesday and provided prompt service. I went to work and Phillip was nice enough to call me twice and give me updates on my car. I was able to pick up my car that same day and the repair was covered under warranty. Phillip provided excellent service and has been helping my family at Gunn for years. He will take great care of you and I would highly recommend him if you are taking your car to Gunn. More
