I was sold a vehicle with heavy cigarette smoke odor from previous owner. I did not notice the smoke odor right away during the short test drive as the salesman had all the doors wide open during showing the previous owner. As I was driving home, I noticed the odor was getting worse. I showed my wife the vehicle when I got home and she could not breath due to being allergic to cigarette smoke. I could not contact the dealership as it was already closed, so I brought the vehicle back early morning the next day to explain how the vehicle potentially posed a serious health issue such as thirdhand smoke and lung cancer for my wife and my 2 weeks old baby. The Salesman Richard and Nigel offered to have the vehicle deep cleaned to get rid of the odor. However, the deep clean should have been done in the first place before they tried to sell that car to another customer. It is to show how they are willing to cut corners just as much as they can with their vehicles. At that point, I was not comfortable to keep that vehicle so I can just put my own family at risk. The next day, I was offered two options by the general manager Michael Dallas. First option is to keep the same vehicle, second option is to get another vehicle, however it had to be on the very same day. Michael was extremely rude, demanding and condescending when he talked to me. He demanded me that I had to come to the dealership "NOW" when I was at my workplace working with my patients, left alone that I am living in Lincoln which is 1 hour away. When I told him I would come when I get off work at 5, he told me I needed to come at 5:30 pm. Overall, I was not treated as a customer but as a nuisance when they think that they had gotten paid after I signed the paperwork. Salesman Richard was not helpful and made us wait a very long time when my wife and I came looking for an alternative vehicle. We had to walk around the dealership to look for another vehicle by ourself as we could not wait any longer while our newborn was left at home with a babysitter. Tim Green York was the only positive thing when I approached him while trying to locate a vehicle we were interested in. He decided to help and worked on our case immediately instead of Richard. He was more genuine and personable than most of the people I met in the dealership. At the end, I ended up buying another vehicle with a higher cost. Corwin was able to have business from me this time but never again in my life time I would set my foot there nor recommend my family members, my friends, my healthcare colleagues, or anyone in my community to support this kind of work ethic. From my experience, I could see instead of treating their customers with respect, leadership and staffs at Corwin are definitively lack of professionalism and being cordial. More
