Terrible service department. Took my truck in for a NYS inspection and my engine light on. they told me I needed $4500 in repairs just for it to pass inspection. Thought that was steep so declined work b inspection and my engine light on. they told me I needed $4500 in repairs just for it to pass inspection. Thought that was steep so declined work being done and picked up truck to get a second opinion at another repair shop. Van Bortel charged me almost $200 for “labor”?? Took to another repair place and $750 later I have my truck back and it passed NYS inspection with no more engine codes. The truck has never driven smoother and the engine misfires are gone. Van Bortel should be ashamed trying to take advantage of me because my inspection was overdue and they thought I was at their mercy. Glad I took it to an honest shop for a second opinion. I will never recommend or do business with VanBortel again. The only positive thing I have to say about them is that their office staff when I went to schedule and pick up were friendly. They tried to put one over on me and they did it with a smile. More

I went to van bortel for my first scheduled maintenance on my 2019 ford ranger. Also there was a recall on the vehicle. Which were all taken care of. However, the right side taillight was broken and ford w on my 2019 ford ranger. Also there was a recall on the vehicle. Which were all taken care of. However, the right side taillight was broken and ford would not cover the part. It's terrible to drive around in an almost $40,000 truck with the taillight taped in. More

First person to arrive at Quick lane then told to drive around and get in a line so I’m 4th in line. I explained I was first when I pulled in and was told NO you were 2nd by the women (employee) whom I act around and get in a line so I’m 4th in line. I explained I was first when I pulled in and was told NO you were 2nd by the women (employee) whom I actually watched arrive. then it took over an hour and a half to get an oil change and inspection. I was then told my Rotars with 26000 miles on them needed to be replaced. Mind you I baby this truck and never Tow or Haul with it. I’ll have the rotars checked out by my mechanic friend and of course get back to Ford. Overall Quick Lane at this location is anything but Quick and the fact that they tried to tell me my brakes needed replacing even though they passed inspection is just another reason I won’t be back. It’s too bad because i finally thought I found a reputable dealer but o well I’ll just try Corteze now. Honestly when your employee tried correcting me when I knew when I arrived you lost me as a customer for ever. Kitty says there’s nothing we won’t do for you and Quick lane could use some customer service training. More
