Communication Dropped car off at 7 for 9 appointment for oil change and tire rotation and work that was suggested but not urgent from last oil change. Service tech Dropped car off at 7 for 9 appointment for oil change and tire rotation and work that was suggested but not urgent from last oil change. Service tech called at 11ish to let me know an alignment would be needed as well and I agreed to do that. Told me car should be ready when I got off work. I called on my way home from work (3:45) and whoever answered transferred me to the service tech I had been working withs line and I left a voicemail. When I got to the shop I found out he had left for the day without calling to give me an update. I stood in the service area for 40 minutes before someone was free to ask if my car was ready. I was told the work was done but they needed to do the alignment (minimum of another 30 minutes). It was a Friday evening and my car was there all day. I felt like they pushed it to the bottom of the pile. I also can’t believe I was transferred to voicemail when I called to check. They knew the tech had left for the day and I told them that I was just calling to see if my car was ready. I wasted 45 minutes standing in the service area to ask a question that took 30 seconds to answer because the cashier “couldn’t check on a service issue”. All of my frustration towards this service shop could have been avoided had someone been willing to answer a quick question via phone and not transferred me to someone that was gone for the day. More
