They will do whatever they can to make the process as comfortable as possible, including providing a loaner car when the anticipated length of time exceeded what was originally stated. Not sure if I can trust them I normally don’t have service completed on my Honda at the dealership because of stigma that they will always have you spend more than what you would I normally don’t have service completed on my Honda at the dealership because of stigma that they will always have you spend more than what you would at an independent service center. However when I needed my transmission fluid changed it seemed like a better idea to go to the dealership. Everyone was very friendly, the waiting area was well equipped, and I got the complementary car wash. However in the overall systems check it was noted that 3 out of 4 tires had a yellow or “fair rating” on the tread. It was suggested that I buy new tires before this next winter. I had just put 2 new tires on a month ago, but they didn’t know that. When I mentioned this the service center worker said that it was odd that one of my new tires would have low tread already. My one new tire with a fair rating had measured at 6/32. So I left the Honda dealership with some questions about my tires and no alignment issues. Right after my appointment I stopped at the independent garage that put the new tires on my car, they said the tread on the 2 new tires measured in the good range at about 10/32. Now I have heard two different things and I have a tendency to trust the independent garage that my family has been using for years. I’m really not sure if anything was done wrong or incorrectly, but my visit to the service center at the dealership left me with questions about ability to trust their service recommendations. I’m not sure who I worked with as a staff member. More
