Overall good dealership just consistent problem with communication and execution. That is pretty much been the only thing consistent over the mini mini years of BMW. Like a communication/execution. Pre-Covid. I would set foot in BMW Slo. I would rather drive to Santa Maria. The last few years has shown some improvement but much more is needed. More

Excellent service experience on my 2017 MX-5 which I purchased from BMW of SLO a week prior. Even though there were parts issues, Steven was very professional and personable during my service. I went to the dealer to fix a tailgate issue and was given an estimate of $500 to diagnose and then fix it if possible. I told Mr. Simpers I didn't want anything else done; no oil changes, adjustments, given an estimate of $500 to diagnose and then fix it if possible. I told Mr. Simpers I didn't want anything else done; no oil changes, adjustments, inspections, etc., just fix that one problem. I asked what if you find the problem quickly and it is s a simple fix? He said not to worry the $500 would not apply if the repair was less. The description of the labor change on my bill, which magically came to $499.99, stated the problem, a diagnostic check was done that showed an electrical error, and the technician found a broken wire that was easily accessed and quickly repaired. By any measure, generously granting one hour of diagnosis and one-half hour to solder and put a sleeve is reasonable, or two hours max. There is no way this should cost $500! More

Stephen is always very helpful, friendly and easy to work with when I bring my x5 to BMW at SLO. He offers suggestions that help the customer make intelligent decisions.
