I was grateful for Sung Park keeping me in mind as he worked to find a car which met my needs under the supply constraints. He was also honest about pricing and the reasons for it. worked to find a car which met my needs under the supply constraints. He was also honest about pricing and the reasons for it. More

We came to this dealership because of the reviews and the experiences our family members have had...I wish this could be a short and sweet 'AMAZING EXPERIENCE' review but it was much more complicated than th experiences our family members have had...I wish this could be a short and sweet 'AMAZING EXPERIENCE' review but it was much more complicated than that. SUNG PARK- Would work with and recommend him during the car buying process OVER and OVER again. NICK LEE- Left much to be desired, would avoid working with in future. We contacted Royal Moore mid February 2021 looking for a very specific vehicle (2021 4Runner TRD PRO in Lunar Rock), Nick Lee answered the phone at that time. We were excited to learn they had the vehicle we wanted, in the color we wanted slatted to show up in a month and it had yet to be claimed. Nick told us there were a few things that the dealership put on this rig, one of those items being the predator tube steps-not something we wanted. Nick agreed over the phone that they could leave these out and also left it off of the spec sheet he sent us. In the weeks leading up to our vehicle showing up we told Nick we'd be doing a plate transfer and e-mailed a photo of our plates at his request. Fast forward about a month, we received a message from the sales associate we had also been working with (Sung Park) who advised us that our vehicle was at the dealership. A few hours later Nick called my husband to give him the 'unfortunate news' that the predator steps had been placed on the vehicle and since they were 'attached to the frame' they would not be able to remove them. -This is where our experience started to take a turn. We showed up that night to discuss what happened. Sung (who was FANTASTIC) greeted us and was so thrilled to see us. Despite us being frustrated, Sung's energy carried us along. We explained to Sung what we had agreed on when we initially spoke to Nick a month prior and attempted to understand what happened. Sung sat at our level the whole time, kept his patience and made us feel like he actually appreciated our business. Nick eventually came over with the price sheet, we went back and forth multiple times about paying for something we did not ask for all while he stood over my husband and I. At this point Nick also threw out that they had another couple on the other side of the building (who he pointed to) who were ready to purchase the 4Runner if we didn't and they no issue with the additions to it (this couple was also standing looking at us as we negotiated-was this by design, hard to say.) Nick brought this up multiple times and it was incredibly tasteless. This prompted my husband to point out that this was a 'sh***y way to do business'. Nick offered for us to wait another month for the next TRD Pro they had coming in. We then asked what the odds would be that this exact situation would happen again...we also found out that they had put these runners on the vehicle that morning. It was at this point that my husband finally said, 'why is it so hard to UNBOLT the runners', this was a mistake made by the dealership that they were trying to make us pay for ($700 dollars for something we would take off in our driveway if they didn't remove them.) For Nick to fight so hard against making this right was mind boggling. It seemed when he realized we weren't buying the 'attached to the frame' story, he went to ask someone else if they could remove them...a minute later it was agreed on. The steps we specified to not be on our vehicle from the start would be removed and we would not be paying for them. This took close to 2 hours to negotiate. At this point we were asked if we just wanted to complete the paperwork at that time (it was about 7pm) so we could just pick the 4Runner up the next day, we agreed. We went through this process mostly with Sung...who was elated and insisted we take the vehicle for a drive while he got paperwork ready. Sung was still ecstatic for us and our business-reminding us multiple times that we as the customer should always be happy with our purchase. At about 7:40pm we reminded Sung we were doing a plate transfer, at that point he went over to Nick who we assumed was doing our DMV paperwork. We could see them moving from office to office looking for something. Thats when we heard Nick say 'now I have to find this paperwork and I just want to go the f*** home.' This was the real kicker for us. HE offered to complete our paperwork that night, we had also been very upfront about doing a plate transfer-mentioning it 3 times over the course of the month we spoke to him-2 of them being that day. When we came back the next day to get our vehicle Sung once again greeted us- all smiles and excitement to show us the vehicle as we had ordered it. He made sure multiple times before we left the lot that we were happy with our vehicle and we were extremely grateful to have him in our corner. We don't want our negative review to take away from how great Sung was to work with. An experience that should have been exciting from start to finish was really diminished by an issue that should have been an easy fix from the moment they realized their mistake. We were made to feel like it was OUR fault that this had happened. More
