It looks like we first tested your battery back in October of last year, at which time it tested fine. If yours was testing good, we wouldn't recommend you pay the money to replace it. It sounds like it tested bad on your visit this month, which is why we then recommended replacing it. If your battery lasted another 8 months, it was not bad back in October of last year. As far as the alternator, we cannot replace it under warranty unless it has actually gone out. If your vehicle starts, the alternator is still working. Your vehicle cannot start with an alternator that has gone out. We obviously get paid by Honda to replace things under warranty so there is no reason we wouldn't want to replace it if it had gone bad, that's how our service department makes money. A mechanic I trust who told me the battery was bad after you folks said it was good within a couple days of each check. He also said alternator was bad. Yes, alternator is working but not at the amperage output it should. Therefore, the battery never fully charges. I have had nothing but frustration dealing with Bellevue Honda. I never will again.
